And yes, the msm can continue sucking.

And how many get the flu every year? Millions. This virus is still an unknown. It will be next fall before we know the full scope of this virus. Once they have a better understanding of it. Hopefully next year won't be so bad. Fear is driving the whole thing. It's the perfect weapon. Cripple from within.

No need for the mocking.

The difference here is the potential long term impact it has to the lungs (permanent scar tissues) and that one can get reinfected, which are different than flu. This is for people that got infected but didn’t die.

That’s why this is not our “normal” flu

Fyi: My disclosure is 100% accurate.

Obviously some people feel the need to add their assumed 'credentials' as a way to make their point appear more valid than the prior, or next. I personally think to do so denegrates one's point or opinion.

cv129 03-09-2020 11:29 AM

Don’t forget this:

No symptoms DOES NOT mean you are not a carrier. One can potentially start spreading unknowingly.

It takes time for the virus to get to your lungs, then multiply and develop symptoms. Between first contracting the virus and symptoms showing, one can look and feel healthy but in fact just asymptomatic.

Why does that matter? Because for the younger, independent (single or not many directly depend on his/her care), while one may not worry about dying yourself, one can still spread it to those that are more susceptible to the mortality rate.

Not what I was trying to do, but I know it seems that way. You can direct it at me, that’s ok.

I agree authority shouldn’t be in an objective argument.

Then please attack my argument.

The mask & hand sanitizer shortages I can sort of understand, but what's baffling me is the damn run on toilet paper.......:confused:

WTF..... tp ain't gonna stop no virus.... fvcking morons....

Rusty 03-09-2020 10:59 PM

At Home Depot. You can't order the N95 masks online. We can't order them for the store either. We caught people stealing them this past weekend. One guy was trying to walk out the door with 2 full face respirators with cartilages. :shakes head: We have no more at the store. Have no idea if and when we will be getting more. Contractors are pissed.

Viral infections are often accompanied by diarrhea.

It is also very valuable for bartering, if things get bad enough.

Unconfirmed, but word is leaking that FEMA and DoD are quietly standing up various Continuity of Government sites and stress-testing their telecom architecture.

It's unconfirmed because it's untrue. There's no way FEMA is going to have any foresight and do something proactive that might actually helps matters down the road. Everything has to follow a bureaucratic process that is designed to slow down decision making and create reactionary responses after the emergency blows up.

New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo said the state would deploy National Guard troops and establish a “containment area” in a Westchester County suburb at the center of the*coronavirus outbreak*in the state.

Starting Thursday, the state plans to close facilities for two weeks in a roughly three-square-mile area of New Rochelle, officials said.

My dad was commenting on this. He said it's impossible to get dust masks right now, so he's actually re-using his when doing drywall. Mostly just an inconvenience.

A whole lot of 'entrepreneurs' bought out the stocks of N95 and are reselling at 4-10 times MSRP.

The dumbing down of America. It's been going on for years.

Some companies and universities switching to class/work from home. That’s a good step, maintain a level of productivity while limiting the spread.

Hope for the best!

Entertaining kids give me more headache than crunching numbers at work.

I started to love Home Depot since becoming a home owner. Learned a lot just walking around, looking at items I never knew exist, learned the usage on the spot, then little home improvement here and there.

We sell so much different stuff on line. I can't keep up with it. :icon14: The store has a 200,000 items on the shelf. On line is something like 2.5 million. You can order boats through us. :icon14: Had 2 last year come in.

Why stop there? Pretty soon, HD will be able to sell cars and homes.

I've always wondered, why does HD have a faceless person mascot?

Dumbass military. I just got approval for a 2 week trip to Hawai'i in May :icon08:

Was reading up on some considerations for traveling at this time. One of the questions to ask yourself was "how would it be if you were stuck at your destination for several weeks?" I bet I could manage :icon17:

Ghostvette 03-12-2020 08:33 AM

I went to LA this week. The plane was about 2/3rds full (for Southwest, that's empty). I sat at the window seat on the leg out of Denver and on the return flight to KC. On both of those legs, the female sitting on the aisle broke out the Lysol spray... and sprayed her seat, the seat in the middle and some other crap.:eek: I damn near died from the aerosol, not to mention that on the Southwest website is says DON'T USE SPRAY LYSOL...:shakes head::shakes head:

I'm trying to keep from coughing and they both gave me dirty looks and called the FA on me. I choked out that they sprayed the area with Lysol :barf: and the FA confiscated the spray and moved them. Fuckingmorons.......:gtfo2:

lol I know... just a lot closer. And lots of travelers. Exactly the kind of destination to avoid these days.

90% of the workers are from Asia. Wonder where they are going to be staying for those 2 months. On ship, on shore, or back home?

So this is being blamed for monkey gang wars in Thailand. Hundreds of starving monkeys, from rival gangs no less, are brawling in the streets over food.

I'm guessing this is what walmart will look like in a couple weeks

I just got back from the grocery store. On a normal Thursday morning you'll see a dozen or so people in the store generally picking up a few items like I was doing today. This morning, the parking lot was full and the store was packed. There were a few people like me, picking up a few items but I saw grocery carts full of bottled water and the man directly ahead of me had a cart full of toilet paper. It was like mass hysteria in the store. What a fck'n joke. :shakes head:
