Sell them, that should get you a FI stage 1 at this time, or a stage 2 by Sunday morning.

And I thought it was full retard down here. Stealing in an emergency situation should be hanging in main square at noon type punishment. If folks can’t act decently and humanly, then incentivize them strongly to do so.

Just read an article. In it, it said that people who have recovered from this virus have reduced lung capacity of 20% to 30%. But it's still too soon to know how long this reduction will last or if it's permanent.

Symptoms.

Cough that's wet. Feels like something came up from the lungs.

Fever. Most say this is the worse part of it.

Shortness of breath. Even after being recovered.

Everything is in the lungs. Nothing in the sinus like a head cold.

Rusty 03-14-2020 01:08 AM

This just pissed me off. Using the virus to bypass the 2nd Amen.

Today, an ordinance has passed in Champaign, IL, to empower the mayor to “[o]rder the discontinuance of selling, distributing, dispensing or giving away of … firearms or ammunition of any character whatsoever.”

I bought a 12 pack of large rolls (between the smallest and biggest sizes). Been over a year since I bought the pack. Barely half gone now - I should be good through Christmas at least. No females in the house though. Makes an enormous difference.

the picture doesn't do it any justice - it's almost like a large pizza when looking at it. when putting it on the stand that it comes with, which is surprisingly nice and sturdy, it sticks out like a sore thumb and wifey said it had to go bye-bye :shakes head: so out of sight and out of mind again I guess.

and wtf lol I sh!t twice a day and tend to go through TP like crazy, so i'm used to loading up. I actually get panic attacks when we're low on TP lol

The latter part of this post regarding the symptoms actually made me feel a lot better. I think I'm coming down with a head cold (tingling of the throat and a headache), and was starting to get worried that maybe I got this Wuhan sh!t.

I'm still jogging roughly 3 to 4 miles a day and have no problem doing it breathing-wise, so I guess that's a home-made coronavirus test? lol

cv129 03-14-2020 01:24 AM

Yep, that info snuck out of China long time ago, but China don’t want nobody to know, WHO doesn’t wanna know, CDC doesn’t wanna scare people....

Is this legal? A mayor can override the constitution?

No, it is not. The 2nd Amendment gives the right to keep and bear to the People - not to the States and certainly not to cities. As with the 1st Amendment, the States can regulate the misuse of speech and guns (eg, shouting fire in a crowded place, shooting someone without justification, etc) but they can not regulate their possession or normal use. I am very disappointed that the NRA or other similar group has not pressed the matter and taken a case to the Supreme Court.

I haven't seen anything on this. Do you have a link handy?

Edit:
Found this: https://www.wandtv.com/news/executiv...a7f3b3aee.html

tl;dr: The town has only declared an emergency. They haven't actually put any measures into effect. Their ordinance does allow them to stop firearm sales but they're not doing it.

I changed the oil/filter on my car and the wifey's car as a precautionary. Wife's car oil had about another 1k miles left before it needed to be changed and the oil in the Z had only 250 miles on it, but is getting near the 6-month mark, so changed it out too. Also filled up on gas.

Wrong thread I think. Unless you think your cars got the virus too.

I meant I was being proactive. In case of emergency, I don't have to worry about going over on miles with the old oil.

And actually, I may need to give both of them a good scrubbing followed by waxing. May have traces of the coronavirus on the surface of the car from driving.

“If I can make a slight profit, that’s fine,” he said. “But I’m not looking to be in a situation where I make the front page of the news for being that guy who hoarded 20,000 bottles of sanitizer that I’m selling for 20 times what they cost me.”

Yeah greed robs you of your conscience. He even have pictures of his family with his baby and he was a former Air Force tactical Sergeant? Knowing he just committed price gouging.

And thats how he feed his son.

He deserves to be in jail my opinion.

In other country if you do such thing in time of crisis against the people is considered an act of treason and be put to highest penalty even death.

We are not some "other country," we are the United States of America. We are a nation of laws, not men, embodied by the Constitution.

Many of you here swore an oath to protect and defend that sacred document.

We must abide by our laws, especially in a time of crisis.

What that man did was ethically abhorrent, but he did not violate the law and he does not deserve to be imprisoned.

Things are getting pretty crazy, even here in S AR. I had to tear out some wall board in one of the bathrooms (the original contractor left out the insulation plus the outer sheathing had pulled loose from the stud in one corner, allowing air intrusion, took me a looonnnggg time to figure out where the cold air was coming from). Asked the gal that usually does my shopping to get me some wall board screws, joint tape, a piece of wall board, etc. She started at Walmart and sent me a pic of the TP aisle - not a single roll in sight. She then went to a national chain hardware store and was able to get most of the small stuff but the store was so crowded, she couldn't find anyone to cut the wall board.

Aside:
She bought spackle instead of joint compound. Bob Vila says one is not supposed to use spackle in place of joint compound unless you have to (something about spackle drying too fast). Is it really that big of a deal? I'm just doing a 3'x5' section (~1m x 1.5m for those who think in metric), not a whole room. She doesn't mind exchanging it but I'd hate to send her back into the melee if I don't have to.
Any other tips for someone who has never done any real wall board work? I've patched a bunch of holes but never used tape or replaced a section.

I do agree on you first 3 statements and I totally agree... but on the same token America and only America had encountered the most unthinkable problems that affects the whole nation because even the unruly people are protected by this laws and get away with it.

Whom should the law or the Constitution protect? The majority of Americans or the scams who instigates further suffering to most law abiding Americans and with this same law and rights they hide/cover to justify there action and further cause harm to the whole American people.

There is nothing wrong to make some profit but if a nation is down on its knees because of a crisis and such acts are committed is a different issue I believe.

I’ll stop here because this would be a never ending debate.

But as a citizen of United of States of America if your country is in CRISIS We swore that We would provide unselfish duty to protect and uphold the protection of our constituents/ countrymen even to the extent of sacrificing ones life.

I believe that was the same foundation the US constitution was built!

Yeah this man didn’t break the law in a time of Crisis?? Something is not right here.

Thanks. For the small job I'm doing, it looks like spackle should do fine (probably better than I'll be able to apply it). Just wanted to get some confirmation.
