Glad they are still transferring nursing home patients there - we received a letter here saying that if things were to get bad, hospitals would not accept nursing home patients because the prognosis would not be good. Basically "prepare for the worst, make plans now". Also, the homes don't really want the patient back after diagnosis or treatment (although I cannot think what they can do about that). Not a letter that was fun to read!

Thanks man,

Well we have no choice but to treat them due to worsening pneumonia that leads to SoB, we have to provide breathing treatments.
The sad part even we get to stabilize them no other nursing homes would accept them.

Our firs Covid positive is still at the hospital for almost a month now. Im very surprised he is still alive...In fact his lungs are clearing out.

Are these people just stupid or what? Not to mention, numerous health organizations specifically recommend AGAINST using anti-microbial disinfectants :shakes head:

Id be more worried about breathing in the recirculated air. :eekdance:

I started hoarding TP a while ago (and continuing to do so) so that way I don't have to do this

In the event I get heat over this post, hey, it is what it is and I gotta do what I gotta do. Survival of the fittest.

I shave my hole hairs so I do less wipes, which in turns saving TP resources. I also use baby wipes as a finisher to ensure there is no gunk leftover. Gotta keep it clean for a rusty trombone (no pun intended).

Not sure if this person is going for a ghetto-fied bidet or doing this from a lack of TP. Either way, the hose will be clogged when sitting on the seat :icon17:

My question is where are they buying that many wipes?

The notice said "anti-microbial treatments and disinfectants". So I can see how using the term 'wipes' was maybe a bit misleading.

This is the time where you cannot afford to have the runs.

My strategy:
No greasy food, easy on the cheese, & go easy on the the ice cream.

Long term strategy unrelated to TP shortages:
Find a job in an industry deemed "essential".

I must admit, I am enjoying the time off. I worked my a$$ off.

Essential. Get a job in power generation. There was plans being made that the workers would sleep on site. They would never leave. Part of the plans was to recall some of the retired workers too.
