This doesn't make sense to me - the 3/8 impact sets for shallow and deep sockets are 8-19, 21, 24mm sockets and the trays only come with posts 6-20mm :icon14:

Ordered this Gearwrench tray set for ~$25 from Home Depot last week. I like it except for the fact that the 22mm shallow and deep sockets do not fit properly (other 22 mm sockets with thinner walls fit fine). Gonna pick up a 1/2 set from Snap-on figuring they will have enough clearance for the thicker wall on their own impact sockets. Need to grab a 3-row 3/8 tray since I also have a set of semi-deep sockets.

I've had the posts, the magnet rail, the clip rail and a few others for the sockets. I keep going back to the old fashion clip rails.

The posts are too easy, so I think I'm going that way. However I do like the Kobalt clip rails I picked up a number of years ago from Lowe's - they are the silver ones on the right side of the drawer. The bottom of the rail is magnetic, which is convenient for mounting, and the clips are just normal ball-type. However, the clips are just a hard plastic, and I feel like over time if they got a lot of use they would probably wear down - should be good for me though.

The post never have enough posts for all the sockets sizes. :shakes head:

The magnet rails collect a lot of metal dust. Grap a socket off of it. And you might get a metal burr stuck in your skin. :shakes head:

The clip rails sometimes won't hold a socket and it falls off. :shakes head:

I'll take a whole clip rail with me under the vehicle if I don't know what sizes I will be using.
