After I get good & awake, gotta figures out a way to offload the lift without damaging anything...as my roll up door is ready for pickup & planning to get that Friday :excited:

I thought about purchasing the lift this spring. Decided I needed the tools first lol. But actually I was having a terrible time finding a way to get the lift delivered since I don't have a truck/trailer to pick it up at the freight dock. Was pretty much looking at renting a forklift to unload it in my driveway :shakes head:

The problem is being able to unload it by myself at the house after I pick it up. If I rent a vehicle to haul the stuff, I have to make sure I can unload it immediately in order to return the rental. The runways are damn near 400 lbs apiece; I'm not moving those without some help.

I should add the other hesitation I have is limiting myself to the Danmar D-7 lift since it's the only decent quality lift that is short enough to fit in my current garage. I don't even necessarily want a lift with runways (designed more for storage).

The way this lift is designed; the columns are so bulky- they don’t require any crossover braces :ugh2:
They’re about 8.5’ tall & the lift has just over 6’ of rise :ugh2:
Only thing that crosses overhead is the stainless hydraulic line

Forgetted to mention that each columN weighs 1k#

Been looking for a mobile mechanic cart with a sliding top. The KRSC430 from Snap-on sure seems nice. But $2400 is a little steep

Something like this one from Northern Tool is a little more manageable even if it is cheap and winds up being a stepping stone. Anyone have other suggestions?

That's exactly the kind of product I was looking for! Most of the Sunex ones I came across were in the $700+ range and a bit bigger than what I was looking for. The top storage on this one is shallower than I would like, but it is very much a competitor.

Thank you!! :tiphat:

The New “What did you do with your Z today” (with off topic replies) XXXV

I moved mine out of the Garage today so I can fit some Wharfedale diamond (ex pub) speakers into the garage. I’m guessing pubs aren’t going to need them at the moment...

Plugged into a Technics Mini HiFi.... ok so it isn’t that Z related
