Oh yeah, I also took the Z out for the week (she sits in the garage 6.5 days/week), and while getting some oil and filter, I also made to where the top gauge clock is the time with daylight savings, and the nav clock without it (1 hour difference). That way, I don't have to keep going through the series of buttons on the dashboard.

So how does daylight savings work for those that work overnight? Like strippers, do they get to go home an hour early (spring) or work an hour extra (fall)?

At the power plant. We had the option to stay 1 hour later to make up for the lost hour.

Removing zinc plated bolts & installing galvanized one at a time is :icon14::owned:

Here’s an option for you that is much faster... If its difficult to get the zinc ones out, you can just drill another hole aside of it and stick the galvanized through the new hole and leave them both in...

And I assume you are using a “Ship Auger” bit to drill the holes, right? Those bits will drill your 5/8” holes in just a few seconds every time...

T-60... or maybe T-120... or maybe T-0... Heck, not really sure.

I guess if I just eat some bacon every hour on the hour, I should have all my bases covered... :happydance:

Now you have bumped your head; we’re talking 5-700$ worth of fasteners getting credited back :ugh2:
The 50 5/8” ones attach the bottom of the structure to the 20 deeply cemented post....they’re in.
The others are 1/2” & some are rusted pretty much already :ugh2:
It’s from trying to work off the scaffold on the concrete & reach around for bolts...some more froze than others :icon14:
260 1/2” bolts total + washers & nuts :nutswinger:

It’s 81 in FL. We had maybe 4 days of 55 degree whether this entire winter. Didn’t even get to break out the peacoat this winter :shakes head:

When I was at Elliott. They would tell me it was a 1 day job. I would pack for a week. Tell me 1 week. I would pack for a month. Tell me 1 month. I would start to fill out change of address cards. :icon14: Some jobs, I would take a 1 ton dually crew cab stake bed, or fly. There would be times where I'm on the road and they would call and say the job was cancelled. One time when I got to the hotel. There was a message there for me to call back to the office. Come home, job cancelled. That was a 14 hr drive one way. Another time, I got out the plane and they was paging me. Catch the next flight back. Here's your ticket home. that was in San Fran. :rofl2:
