Why are IP cams so shitty when the cameras in our phones can shoot 4K60fps easy?!

Our doors were locked. The white car is my in-laws and it was unlocked. They didn't take anything. She purposely leaves it unlocked because there's nothing in there to take. Her philosophy is she'd rather have somebody open her door then break her window.

How much did your phone cost? My iPhone 11 Pro is like $1500 retail... and I'm pretty sure most of that is in the camera.

A $1000 IP camera will shoot plenty good quality.

I guess some updates:

Got the tune installed on the WRX and man, MAPerformance did a good job with it. The boost doesn't spike erratically when you're trying to drive slowly, and the power comes on smooth through the rev-range. The torque-dip is also gone; It pulls hard all the way to redline! I installed the mount kit they gave me out of view of the window so those dang Subie Bros don't see it and try to race me.

Aside from that, I've been playing a ton of Call of Duty with a group of friends online. Kids these days are insufferable, they have no wits or clever insults and just go straight to N*gger (hard "er" is what we call it). Who's parenting these children?! I know they're at home with their parents.

Funny you mentioned that! I just picked up a 11 Pro yesterday (64GB because i barely use space). My dad is on an SE and he will use that damn thing until it dies, so I'm giving him my XR (about 3 months old).

:iagree: I'd rather have a broken window than a stolen car. But I guess it depends on who is breaking into the car. Probably less likely to be someone capable of hotwiring the vehicle vs junkie/thief looking for a quick score. So perhaps that is the prudent move :shrug:

If anyone is looking for good camera coverage on a very cheap budget, the Wyze Cam is pretty awesome. They're about 25-30 for the basic cameras and have decent quality. They are cloud-based, but have the option for an onboard SDcard (and storage is cheap nowadays).

I have a Samsung home security HD camera system. It comes with 10 cameras and you can expand it to 16 cameras. I have 12 cameras. You can adjust the camera quality. When you go to the HD settings and add cameras. You lose on the amount of storage because of the extra data being stored. The storage is on a loop. The more data being stored, the shorter the loop. The loop is about 18 days before it starts over. With the app. I can view my cameras on my phone. I got the system from Sam's Club for $500.00.

They said almost nothing about any of the codes. All they would say is that they couldn't duplicate them and saw no problem. The CEL had turned itself off while my car was sitting in the garage, so the light wasnt on when I brought it in.

"It seems like you came to a red light and stopped. When you started accelerating again you had a misfire. We weren't able to recreate that." I was ripping it 100 some-odd mph down a backroad and hit the bottom of a hill pretty hard, but yeah it must have been at a red light :icon14:

Not me. I'm definitely enjoying flexible hours, no commute, and no office BS.

Soft fault. One that won't set when the key is turned off. Will drive you crazy. Hard fault is one that will stay when the key is turned off and you have to clear it. The crankshaft sensor in my truck was a soft fault. Would never set. got lucky last time because I had my reader with with me. It was driving me crazy. :shakes head:
