The last time I was in church... believe it or not, I’m the official Carriloneur (I ring the bell) Father Derek’s Sermon was how the last time it was like this was probably the Black Death. You can’t count Spanish Flu because the world had crippled itself with a world war.

It seems like we all have chefs / budding chefs on here. How about we share recipes?

Maybe we should also Make them not so complex as we all have to conserve food

This time around, most people had had gloves and masks. Anyone that so much as sniffled got the "get the fcuk away from me" look.

Hmmm... maybe it would be worth it to stand in line. Not for groceries, of course.

I bought it last week for $149 with 2x 3Ah batteries and charger. Three days later it says they are out of stock online

I'm going to get in line and when I get to the front, I'll let the line continue to go in front of me until someone buys my first-in-line spot  Then go get back in line and repeat

Yup. I went Friday morning. The line went alongside the building, into the adjacent street til the end, curved back out to the main street, along the main street for a block into the race track parking lot. Literally 1/4 mile long line. Yesterday I was waiting to get into the bank, the lady behind me told me her daughter camped out at 2am that morning so she could get supplies.

I have the Dewalt. It does the job. Can’t say what it cost though. Dad got it for me for my birthday a few years back.

This **** is crazy. Nothing like that here. We went to Costco two Monday’s ago and the line was about 30 people. We were inside in 15-20 mins.

Went to the grocery store last Monday and walked right in.

Seems every big box store is doing that here. Even the bank. Letting only a few people in at a time, and those in line keeping that 6 foot distance. The costco parking lot wasnt even close being as full as a pre-coronavirus shopping day.

They handed out bleach wipes as you got close so you could wipe down the cart.

Ive seen costco employees wiping the carts down as other workers brought them back. But now, you grab a cart and get your wipes after you go in. Kinda defeats the purpose handling the cart before wiping it down.

Wholefoods had a worker outside wiping down carts and baskets. She greeted every person not by "Hello, welcome to Wholefoods", but rather "Hello, all the carts and baskets have been sanitized"...lol

HEB only has one entrance open. The carts are line up as you go in. There’s a worker at the front of the line and sanitizes you’re cart right there when take it.

New recommendation is not to go to grocery or pharmacy for next two weeks. Total lockdown.

From the WSJ:

“The next two weeks are extraordinarily important,” Dr. Birx said at a White House news briefing over the weekend. “This is the moment to not be going to the grocery store, not going to the pharmacy, but doing everything you can to keep your family and your friends safe.”
