If you just screw the top into the wall you don’t need any x-bracing.

I added a full depth shelf underneath on mine.

Thanks! Here's stage 1.5. Shelving is going to the left of the chest. Chest will be framed. A little height added to the bench. Diagonal bench will be added to the right corner.

Same difference happened to me this morning. I needed to add 3 new IPs for an smtp relay. Found out you the relay has a max limit of IPs that can be assigned. Never knew that before.

I have not run into that issue personally but smtp is all handled by data center team.
