Gonna go code & stick them holes 48” deep w/concrete
After all 20’ish are installed & hardened up...I’ll elevate my box up a bit & get a load of crush/run brought to the House
Need something to pack down & prepare for concrete form :tiphat:

It will be sturdy when completed

For what it's worth, when they built my barn they used a cement block that the 6x6 post sat on and then filled the hole with pea stone. And, when the barn was complete that's when they laid the concrete.

eastwest2300 12-16-2019 05:53 AM

joby, i need to call you duude... tonight?

Up early again, going to the eye doctor then a little Christmas shopping. Y'all have a great day...... :hello:

JLarson 12-16-2019 06:27 AM

Saw the Trans Siberian Orchestra last night. Great show. Took the wife and my parents as a Christmas present. Spectacular lighting, great performance, you can tell all the guitarists are metal heads.

JLarson 12-16-2019 06:35 AM

Chris Forsberg is selling off some interesting parts on Facebook, including a DW 3.5L surge tank with dual 350 pumps. Neato

Edit: And a Motec M1 to VQ Harness custom harness adapter. Wiring diagram included, will work with an M130 or M150.

I’m gonna look at these things called biscuits :wtf2:
Either 10 or 12” diameter round cement blocks- designed to sit in bottom of hole :ugh2:
I’ll then attach the post between the dual 2x12’s that’s banded around outside & inside of the bottom...with a few screws to hold in place.
Then I’ll mix up some Quickrete & pour down around the 48” hole.
Planning to do 4-5 per day, to prevent any disruption of the current foundation. After all post all hardened up; I’ll be able to easily raise up box more & completely level the rooftop,,,place concrete blocks underneath the post that holds the upper beams...then I’ll bolt the 6x’s that are sandwiched between the 2x12’s together
48” deep post will be 24” on center (plenty) and afterwards,I’ll bring in the crush & run...and wacketpacket it
I’ll then make a form (min 6” thick w/rebar) and put down concrete.....then I can lower the box back down onto the slab after everything dries
Buried post will be bolted & provide majority of holding strength & also will be in code for my region :tiphat:
A bit of work involved,,,but it’s OK, as the front post will end up 5’ or more deep

Susan and I saw the Manheim Steamroller orchestra last night. Amazing as well. Very 90s nostalgic. And now back to work

First good snow of the season, and the salt trucks are out in full force. Some what of an over kill for what we got. :icon14: It's going to rain later on today.

I'm noticing that my rep count is creeping up. When I maxed out. The last 3 numbers was 397. Now it's 405. :icon14: The last time I was repped was 12/2. Anyone else noticing their count going up?

Sexual harassment and discrimination yearly training today. We are all taking notes on the videos for things we can say to each other later that the video teaches us not to say.

Have Jury Summons today, they called 240 people... absolute snooze fest in line here.

It goes up and down after you max out. When one rep maxes out the threshold, the next rep will drop it back a few points. Subsequent reps will follow the same pattern.

JARblue 12-16-2019 10:37 AM

I think it fluctuates from about 350 to 500.

503.Zed 12-16-2019 03:34 PM

Guess who just got selected for the Jury... there goes a week of pay, oh well.

Your employer does not pay you for participating in your civic duty?

Our employees are compensated for 8 hours a day. When the the trial concludes the have to turn over the check they receive from the court to the agency.

Without pay from current employer***

Yes I get paid by the court but very minuscule amount compared to what I’d normally get for a true days work.

When I first maxed out. It was 397, that's what I wrote down. Now about once a month. It creeps up 1 rep. It creeped up last night, and no one repped me. The last time I was repped was 12/2 by Onzedge. :icon14:

We had that training at the plant too. If you heard us talk on my shift. You would have thought that we never had the training. :rofl2: We called each other fags, homo's, dickheads, sluts, sperm receptacles, and that's the mild stuff. :rofl2:

We used to have a person come in from HR to give the training. In class, we still called each other names. Never used our right names. The HR person, she thought that we was nuts. Said that she never met a group like us. :rofl2:

When you send someone a rep; it’s 1/8 of 1% of your RepZ you currently have.....subtract 99.875% from your total & that’s how many dollars you’re sending someone each time :ugh2:
