:icon17: how many drinks in were you already? zero? lol

I was trying to pry down on the plate to compress the springs so I can remove the last bolt for the OEM control arm. Didn't even come close to compressing it enough when I heard it crack.

I do have an extra Nismo suspension sitting about 3 feet away. But I really don't want to screw with that until I have purchased the rest of the suspension pieces I want. Ugh...

Wore myself out today... went outside at 8am and shoveled out a trailer full of mulch, then mowed the lawn.

Ate lunch and then started putting stain/sealer on my 1400 sq ft dock. That took from 1pm to 8pm. Seven hours of crawlng around on my knees was extremely fun.. :icon14:

Holy crap, I am ready for ZdayZ. Wednesday is bath day for the car.... Thursday we are heading out at 9:30am. We are going to walk up Clingmans Dome first and then head to Fontanna... Luckily, I am only 165 miles away from Fontanna

I ordered my craftsquare mirrors March 20th from RHD Japan. Not due to get them until the end of June.

Japanparts is $50 cheaper than RHD, but currency transfers are trickier.

I have the evo-r knockoff ones which are decent. but the necks wobble a bit and one of the copper screws was stripped so I had to fabricate a makeshift screw to hold everything in place on the drivers side. Nothing major, but barely touching the mirrors results in having to peposition them every single time.

I also really want that shifter since Madwi got his. Not sure how bad the install would be though.

JARblue 05-14-2019 09:48 PM

OEM upper control arm is out. Apparently, I just like making things way harder than they need to be :rofl2:

Getting the stud on the fuca back on was a pain. The SPL stud is bigger than OEM

I've got tons more room with the dust boot moved. Like an extra 1.5-2 inches. Test fit had plenty of room

I've never dealt with Japanparts (forgot about them) but the couple of times I've dealt with RHD they've been really good to deal with.

Even though I didn't install my coolerworks shifter I know the procedure pretty well. The hardest part is getting the old shifter brace out. The install itself is pretty easy.

I didn't have any problem with mine. Just had to make sure it was aligned with the hole in the knuckle.

Are the nismo arms bigger than base? I had to pry where the pinch bolt goes to get enough clearance for the SPL stud to fit
