Morning everyone

JLarson 06-10-2019 06:58 AM

Morning all! Decent amount of worked wrapped up on Saturday. Felled 2 dead trees in my back yard, cut up 4 others which had apparently fallen in the more distant past, and carted them down the hill. Changed the oil in the wife's G37x. Put drywall in my kitchen where I moved the sliding door for my new deck.

Finished up with a short nap, headed down to Delaware to catch the end of a blues festival (2 members of the final act had played with Muddy Waters at some point in the distant past, and one played a mean harmonica) and ended the evening with fajitas. Not bad!

How's everyone else doing?

At dark. They all go back to the nest to keep warm. About an hour after the sun goes down is a good time to get them. Brake cleaner doesn't spray as far as the wasp and hornet does.

Couple blocks away from me. They started to remodel a home. They tear off the siding and found out that it's an old log house that dates back to the early 1700's. The logs in this house are huge.

Interesting weekend. Saturday night, the GF stayed in the living room to keep Pepper company. When I woke up at 4am, gf was very ill. She had been vomiting since 11pm. Took her to the ER and they did tests on her. She was fine, dehydrated but fine.
She was vomiting because Pepper had pooped and made the gf nauseous..
Anyone have tips on how to train a pup to poop on pads? I cant take her out yet because the previous owner said Pepper did have her first round of shots, but couldnt produce the paperwork.. The vet said I need to wait 2 weeks for her to get revaccinated just in case Pepper had her shots recently:shakes head:

Yeah I will. Just havent had time to pick out a crate yet. But that training wont be effective until shes able to go outside to do her business?
I put a pad near the front door, she pooped on it a couple times and peed on it as well, just not regularly. I change out the pad when its soiled.

What goes bad on the circuit board? Depending on how the components are mounted, it could be repairable by someone with a good soldering skill set...

Have your vet do a titer test on her blood. That will tell them if she's been vaccinated recently. You don't want to over-vaccinate your pup. Most 'annual' vaccines can be given instead every 2 to 3 years based on the level of antibodies in the blood.

You talking white Anglo-Saxon Protestants or buzz-buzz wasps?

IMO I think brake cleaner would be effective on both.

Hopefully the puppy doesn't already have Parvo. You are supposed to keep them inside until 2 weeks after the 3rd shot. Get a puppy play pen and put down potty pads. Put her there when she is not supervised. Good luck, sounds like you forgot how much fun it is to potty train a puppy.

So far no symptoms of Parvo. Only thing was the first day home, she was very thirsty, but no blood in her poop. I never had to use pads before, all the dogs Ive had already were vaccinated so were able to go outside... except for an accident here and there. :ughdance:

If she is eating and drinking water all is good. Like Spooler said get her a play pin or block off an area for to be in. After she eats or drinks water place her on the pads and don't let her off until she does her business.
