I like going to the The Soo Locks in Sault Ste Marie Mi. and watching the freighters go from one lake to the other.

I did order a set of combo wrenches.

Howdy partners. Just got up, couple hours taking calls, 30 min walk, shower, Maudie's Tex-Mex for lunch and then head to the clinic till 11p.

When I was growing up. My grandmother lived across the river from Hillman Barge on the Mon River. I used to watch the launches all the time. What was fun. Was watching the workers launching O2 bottles into the river like torpedos. They would lay the bottles down on the ground. Then whack the valve off with a sledgehammer. :rofl2:

Had to replace the evaporator in my old 99 Ram truck. The whole dash had to come out as one piece. That was $700 at that time.

I have a very large Snap-on box that's running pretty full. It's mostly Snap-on and Craftsman wrenches, with the oddball Chinese (Harbor Freight) junk that someone gave to me. My dad hit me the other day with the 'why do you still have that box? You don't work on cars anymore. You should sell it." :icon14::icon14:

I said, I still have it for the same reason you still have all your tools.... I still do some stuff and the plan was always to give them to my boys. ;)

Have a Snap On box, Craftsman box, 2 smaller Craftsman boxes, and 2 who knows what boxes. All full. Plus a box full of bicycle tools.

Was he trying to go for the Monster logo on the hood, but forgot what an M looks like?

BettyZ 09-27-2019 01:12 PM

These rear mid-links are hefty. Beat a grizzly bear to death with one of 'em-type of hefty. I'm damn glad I decided to suck it up and pay the $$$ for top-quality parts like SPL.

To anyone on the fence about the cost, I say: Get off the fence! Child support? Those damn leeches need to get a job anyways. Mortgage? The bank will totally understand when you miss a payment (or three). 401(k) contribution? The stock market will tank as soon as you make retirement. And even if it doesn't, they'll probably end up carrying you out of your office feet-first, anyways.

Life is short - buy SPL.

madwi 09-27-2019 01:20 PM

Some thunderstorms just starting to get here. Suppose to rain like a mofo tonight.

TL;DR
It's only money, you'll make more.

I could use the rain. I haven't cut grass in 2 weeks. I got cracks in the ground in the back yard. :shakes head:

Because this way I get to upgrade my suspension TWICE! Gotta pace myself, ya know? I'm starting to run out non-FI mods on the Z, and when I hit that wall, I'll end up buying another car to work on. Trying to postpone the inevitable.
