Its friday, finally. To-do list is a mile long. Drove the Z tonight so I get to load up the work van and do some offsite crap. Blah. I just want to take a nap and have it be 7 am when I wake up. I'll deal with angry people when I give a ****. :icon17:

Checked out the master keys for offsite plaza, get van from BFE in the parking lot, load it, drive over there, unload van and get into the suite. Not one damn thing has been labeled or marked by their manager. I have no idea where she wants her new equipment sooooo, back to the office I go after re-packing the van. Are we sure it isnt Monday?

Hopefully, the A/C on the Power Wagon is fixed. The dealer changed the hose from the compressor to the condenser. The old hose looked like it was leaking at the ends. It was covered in oil. The hose is a dealer only item. So I let them do it. The hose was $140.00. Add labor, the total came out to $390.00.

madwi 09-26-2019 09:50 PM

Not too terrible of a bill from a dealership.

Rusty 09-26-2019 09:54 PM

Came home from work and picking up the Power Wagon. Used the 15,000 lb winch on the Power Wagon to pull out a bush in the back yard. The bush didn't stand a chance. :rofl2: Wifey couldn't believe on how fast I gone the job done. I told her when you have the right tools for the job. The job is easy.

Could have been worse. You figure the part plus changing it out. Putting a vacuum on the A/C system. Then recharging with oil. Just glad it wasn't the evaporator. Then the bill would been close to a thousand, if not more. About $400 for parts. Then pulling the dash apart.

Rusty 09-26-2019 10:04 PM

After pulling the bush out. Washed and waxed the Grand Cherokee. With the weather starting to get cooler. I better get a good coat of wax on it before it's too late. Tomorrow, I do the Power Wagon.

Drove those parts this summer for a road trip. OR 242 west from Sisters is epic if you arent in traffic. Dee Wright Observatory looked so sweet I actually stopped there - which never happens.

I just picked up a bottle of Blackfire sealant. Will give it shot. They all pretty much look the same with proper paint prep.

I haven’t got any of those yet; as the heads are a bit larger & was concerned about clearance issues.
I can’t complain about the gear wrenches that I currently own...I’ve broken (1) in the 20+ years of using them :ugh2:

OK drive home. Wish I had some space to stretch the Z's legs but it was ok. I need darker tint though, people stare all the time. We have such a small population of them around here.

Got to watch a new barge launch this morning. The river is a little high so only a medium sized splash. Still cool to watch

Had to do the A/C on the Silverado before I got rid of it. The evaporator is in the bash. 12 hrs of labor. Apparently the new GM dash comes apart in 8-10 pieces.

Picked up a ribeye last night. I’ll marinate it when I get home and into the bath it goes. Figure about 3 hrs @125*F should do her just about right.

Please don’t send me a link. I don’t need to rebuy all the tools I already have at home. I’m a sucker for ratcheting wrenches.

Funny thing was as soon as I got it home from dropping a grand on getting the A/C fixed the drive rear door lock stopped working. Just thought ‘Fuck, damn thing went GM on me’. Went and bought a Tundra.
