Used to tell the new guys at the plant about their work load. "How do you eat an elephant?" "One bit at a time." "And don't choke on it by trying to do to much at one time."

Feeling okay today. Yesterday was a just a quick look inside to get an analysis of what type of corrosion it is. Next week or two it will be a more serious frame off restoration.

They made me inhale some serious goofy gas. I hope I didn’t say anything stupid.

Are we going to read about you on the news?

"An older worker at Home Depot had a Sr. moment unloading a truckload
of pumpkins today. He started throwing them off the truck and taking them out in the parking lot. He then began to throw them against customer cars and screaming like a little child. When the police caught up with him he was riding a corn stalk around the parking lot. He was later arrested and taken into custody. He was diagnosed with Dementia and Alzheimer's."

Who would have thunk it...

Some one else sets that stuff up. I'm in receiving. I hardly see customers.

JARblue 09-11-2019 10:47 AM

Wasn't me. I got in at 10. The truck was here and gone by 7. I missed out on it.

On a serious note. A Home Depot store had 2 people killed within the past month. They was using a forklift to stock a rack in the store. For some reason. They both got under the load of drywall. The hydraulics failed. Killing both.

You never get under a loaded forklift.

Really. Last year, we lost a lot. We're not allowed to touch them either. If I put my hand on a thief. I would get fired. :shakes head:

JARblue 09-11-2019 12:09 PM

No one has to know except you and the thief and the security camera ;)

If I were manning the camera, I'd choose that moment to restart the system. Punks need to be taught a lesson from time to time.

Construction 101 is you never walk under a suspended load.

I used to teach forklift safety at the power plant.

Some of the basic laws that we have lived by for centuries seem to be ignored
and stealing is one :shakes head:

It's always been ignored by some, that's why there have always been laws against it going back to the code of Hammurabi ;) There are just a hell of a lot of people now, so the multiplier makes it common, and our punishments for it are now applied to people trying to prevent it thanks to liability laws.

Subwoofer problem; the bass has decided to loosen up the little bolts for my radar detector mount:icon14:. Will have to have a floppy radar until I can get home and tighten them. Other than that, not too many rattles! Was too lazy to dynamat prior to install, now going to regret that when I get around to it. What's everyone's upcoming weekend looking like?
