Short of moving or travel, all I can recommend is sitting naked near a co-worker. It won't fix the heat problem, but it'll bother them, and sometimes that's a win.

So DirecTV has really been jerking me around lately. Long story short, they have cancelled or rescheduled or no-showed on me three times since last week. Service crapped out Labor Day weekend. Next appointment is scheduled for Thurs morn. C'mon man :shakes head:

AT&T / DirecTV is the devil. They sent me to collections three times and nearly lost me getting my house because I refuse to pay a bill for three months of services in an area where they don't even offer service.

this is why i dumped cable.

all i really watch on tv is pens games and i can stream those.

now just rocking internet only. get 1 gbps for $90 a month.

I don't have those streaming options for my teams. And the streaming options that I do have are not acceptable. They cut out too frequently because it's a poorly maintained free streaming service or they can't keep up with the bandwidth demand. Tried watching MNF on the ESPN app on multiple TVs in my house last night - it was painful how often the feed dropped or lowered the resolution significantly.

I pay a separate $90 for internet as well. Can't get gigabit but I've got a 500/50 service that works just fine.

i go on reddit to find game streams i dont have any like subscription for it.

i watched the steelers game (well first half) on a reddit stream. no issues except stupid closed caption option was stuck on

I only have cable for sports. And I'm grandfathered into an old plan with far more channels than any service will offer me now. At least not for a comparable price.

Sometimes those are acceptable. But I have accepted that I need record as well as pause and rewind capabilities. So I have to pay for those.

yea i just got fed up paying $235 a month for the base channel package and 250mb internet.

dropped it now only spend $90 for gigabit and lost nothing i needed.

I'm almost there, but both services are separate. So that makes me feel a little better. And I've got way more than the base channel package. My DirecTV bill is right around $110.

Of course my internet provider routinely offers me $99 bundled internet and tv and phone. But that's only for 6 months and they more than double the price after that, so it's really not any better for me except for a brief time period. Not worth the hassle.

Tried to get an inspection on the Lexus. They wouldn't pass my tires. My response was, "well, I guess I'll have to wait until the tires really need to be replaced and the belts start showing to get my inspection now" :icon17:

yea my xfinity went up like 10-15 every 2-3 months.

my internet is $90 for the life of the contract. no increases.
