MsPint, I can sympathize with the job search....:icon14:

You might try USAJOBS, those are Government jobs. They take forever to give you an answer or an interview... :icon14::icon14:

You might want to hit up the places youve done work at for any openings. They already know you, so thats a big plus.

How does the car feel now?

Havent done any canyon runs since I put on the camber kits...before or after the alignment. It was pulling right before the FUCAs though, I thought it was from the new brakes. Tracking straight afterwards. Steering feels pretty dang solid after the FUCAs. Tight corners are flat, maybe a little understeer

You hit traffic at peak time  My build is going slow, he fits it in, in between all his other work which is fine. It just has to be done by June 10th, it goes to Seb on the 11th for tune.

Yep, getting close. I'll need to get my suspension dialed in when I get it back from tune but once it's done we should do it.

Spoiler wants to know how many bacons that is. He doesn't count time like the rest of us.

Spoiler 05-21-2019 12:22 PM

For all you non-technical peeps... 12 days = 24 lbs bacon

So now I'm going to be losing my toll tag benefit at my job and the other position at $2 higher and less toll bill is looking better.

Pintsize725 05-21-2019 03:23 PM

I need help y'all.

The current place making changes because of expenses? :wtf2:

madwi 05-21-2019 03:33 PM

I'd look at the insurance carefully between the two. You guys get sick often and use the insurance quite a bit.

I was told that I wouldn't be losing it but today I received an email that they have a new process in place to remove people who don't drive for the company.

We would switch to my husband's which is better than what they offer but still not as good as what I have now.

madwi 05-21-2019 03:54 PM

How much is the toll road stipend? Do you have to take toll roads?

It's unlimited usage honestly but I've been averaging about $130 a month. I don't need to take it but it's the only way to get to my job in 15 minutes vs 40 minutes.

What's your current deductable? Given the fact that your toll is going away, new job pays 2 dollars more (~3500/yr increase), that might offset your higher insurance. Or like you said, use your husbands insurance for routine medical, and yours for major medical. Just have to see how much and what offsets what. Also take into consideration where you will be happy.

Well I'm already not getting compensated for what I do currently and not respected. I'm not happy here. I sent the controller at the other company an email to let them know I've been able to work out the insurance problem. We'll see what they say if they want to offer it to me again.

:iagree::iagree::iagree: Adulting is the WORST.

You only get one life. You're not going to look back on this job in 5 years and think to yourself "I had really good health insurance there."

Pintsize725 05-21-2019 06:08 PM

I should have a final reply in the morning but it's looking like I'll be starting a new job soon.
