I'z up.

Up a little early. Have to drop the Jeep off for the state inspection, oil change and tire rotation. Because where I bought the Jeep at. I get free state inspections on the Jeep. I figure since they will have to Jeep most of the day. They can do the other stuff.

Seriously. Might buy a kiddie pool and soak the front bumper for a week.

Well, crap. It looks like I'm eyeballing the Danmar D-7 lift now.

Tempted to just go ahead and order the thing and finance it. Also tempted to wait a month and put it on the credit card for points. Decisions, decisions...

Hotrodz 08-07-2019 01:15 PM

With interest rates falling, I am considering going full stupid as I need to finish remodeling the house and landscaping the backyard. I already have a three car garage but it is not enough so I think I may do another two car with a RV garage.

Hey dad, buy me a small house while you're at it as well.

First time at the beach. Lab/aussie is what the previous owner told us. Shes looking more like some sort of bully/x. Shes smaller than most larger breed pups at her age.

For almost same price you can look at the bendpak HD9, can support a ton more.

Since I don’t have to pay for any of it, I say do all the above!

I can get the Danmar with accessories I want for $100 more than the Bendpak lift w/o accessories. The Bendpak with the same accessories adds up more than I'd like (30% more). The Danmar columns are slightly shorter, which makes the clearance to the open garage door more comfortable. The Danmar has a 3 year warranty vs a 5 year warranty for the Bendpak.

Weight is not a consideration. The Z weighs half the capacity of the Danmar. And with my ceiling height limitation, the lift I could get on an SUV or pickup truck would be minimal. Certainly not any more than I could get on jack stands anyway.

I did a quick search on google and it looked like they were the same price, within $100. Sounds like you got a good plan in place.
9' ceiling?

JARblue 08-07-2019 07:16 PM

Not even. It's like 8'-4"

Actually after some double checking just now, the Bendpak columns won't even fit.

Got a call from someone with a new boosted Z this evening. He kind of talked my ear off. Think he was excited to have his Z back. :rofl2:

Rusty 08-07-2019 07:40 PM

Jeep got it's state inspection and oil change done. It needs 4 tires. They just passed inspection. Thinking on getting the Michelin Defender LTX for it.

In other news. I need an alternator for my Power Wagon. :shakes head: Wifey was using it. As I had the Jeep. Got home before her and was washing the Jeep when she came home. I could hear the truck coming down the street. The new bearing is going out. Looking at high output alternators now.

There is a bedroom above it. But a ceiling and 3 walls being insulated helps with the temps in the garage. I put in an insulated garage door a few years back, and it generally holds at 55 and 85 during extreme temps
