I found a spot to stash it out of sight of law enforcement, just in case he gets pulled over.

Just get a Bridgeport vert mill and be done with it. You can pick up a used one for a handful of Bennies.

I dont need an industrial sized drill press and I really want to stay away from getting a bridgeport. Next thing you know Ill have a lathe and a full damn shop. Have to build another garage for the cars. :icon17:

Its really only going to be used occasionally, mostly for woodworking but will need to be able to drill through some small plate steel if needed.

madwi 05-13-2019 09:29 PM

Although I wonder if I can do an arduino setup to control the bridgeport like a cnc. may have to look into that.

Currently tending to the kiddo who has had a fever since yesterday. I think we are going to stop full time daycare next month. He's been sick since we started it.

Jet makes some nice ones. Had one of the bigger ones at the power plant.

Once you get the drill press. You'll want a lathe next. So you might as well get the Bridgeport.

I run their air cleaner and sawdust collector in the shop. Pretty nice stuff that seems to last.
