There’s just no room to grow at my current job since the new guy is now the service manager and my brother is the assistant manager. I’m just not happy being able to not do anything more. I want to improve but there’s nowhere I can go here. Sorry if I was repetitive.

Anywho, spent my tax refund on a new stereo set up for the house. Lolol

You don't need a scanner. You will be using the Nissan Consult 2 or 3. Whatever version they are on now. Tools take time to get. You get what you use most and that will make you faster.

dude the local big merc dealer here was just on the radio looking for techs for a new location offering like 65k, tools provided, and training if needed in certain areas.

Not around here. You buy your own tools and work on part hr. for pay. If your wrenches aren't turning you are not making any money. So, if a job pays 4 hrs and you do it in 2hrs. Better for you. If a motor swap pays 15hrs and you do it in 20hrs. You get paid for 15hrs. If you are sitting around doing nothing due to it being Christmas, etc. You make nothing.

Working flat rate sucks big time. :shakes head: One job and you can lose your azz for the week. :icon14:

Goodyear paid me $6.50 hr plus commission. My commission was always over $1,500 a week. This was back in 83 to 88. Chevy dealer was flat fuvking rate. Never made anything close to what I made at Goodyear.

Isnt that what insurance is for? With any business, you live or die by your employees.

bunk 03-15-2019 04:06 PM

My brother has a friend whos dad owns a restoration shop. Alot of his cars go on auction at Barret Jackson. The guy makes some serious money.

I only stated that cause I think in one of your previous posts you wrote that it was 20ft. Wide.

They said 20 x 25. Maybe 25 is the width??? I'll find out soon enough. The next meeting we have with the builder I'll bring my tape measure.

That's awesome!!

I've seen 4 stories of licensed healthcare framed up in that amount of time. Much stricter code requirements, but of course, having 200-300 guys working continuous during those 4 day helps considerably

The space above the garage is the closet in the master bedroom. They're actually is no attic space in this house.
