Morning all! Midweek is here.

Continuing notes from my caffeine deprivation experiment:
After 3 weeks of no caffeine, Saturday morning I had about 6 oz's of coffee. On the plus side I actually get the rush from caffeine again, if I choose to consume it. But interestingly enough, sleep quality immediately declines - my sleep that night, although longer than usual, left me feeling grainy eyed and unrested. Didn't have another cup after that.

Sleep has definitely improved as an average. Hitting Deep Sleep for 15-20% of the night on a regular basis, REM for about the same. While taking in coffee, I was pretty commonly under 10% for both. Even when 1 of those was high, the other would typically be low so that my average for both combined was about 20%, now it's a little over 30%.

TL;DR - nothing to see here people. Just the musings of a recovering caffaholic.

WOW, I consume way to much Mt. Dew and I sleep like a baby....

From the reading I've done, it seems that some people are disproportionately affected by caffeine. I guess I'm one of them - bummer. Didn't start off that way. I used to have 3-4x 16 oz coffees per day and sleep just fine. I guess maybe 2 years ago was when I noticed that wasn't working so well any more.

It got chilly! Suppose to get a load of snow this weekend with freezing rain and ice. Just what I need right now.

I got other issues. LOL When I am at Zdayz I will not sleep worth a crap. It takes me 2 weeks of sleeping in the same place before I sleep good. I will sleep light as a feather otherwise. At home, The place could be blowing up and I wouldn't have a clue. Snoozing away.

Do you guys have any advice on getting the most amount of money back from insurance for the totaled car?

One main thing to realize is that you never take their first offer... never..

Whatever they tell you, be polite and professional and tell them it is too low of an offer.

Once you play this game and reach an impasse, ask to speak to the adjusters manager.

Do some homework, have some facts and info to tell them and keep telling them that you can’t settle for their offered amount.

You have to play them. Their job is to settle with you for as low as possible of a number... :shakes head:

Interesting problem... so why don't you head up to ZdayZ now and when we get there we will wake you up... believe me, we all want you fresh for this event..
:rofl2:

It usually takes me a night to get acclimated in a new place, then good luck waking me up.

To install the bushing. I use 1/2" all thread, about 10" long. Double nut the one end. 3 thick 1/2" washers on both ends. 2 pieces of 3/8" thick 4"x4" plate with a 1/2" hole in the center.

Put 3 washers on the double nut end of all thread, then 1 of the 4x4 squares. Put that though the hole and the bushing, from the rear. In the front. Now install the other 4x4 piece, then the 3 washers, and then the nut.

It should look like this. 1 nut, 3 washers, 4x4 plate, bushing, frame, 4x4 plate, 3 washers, double nut.

Put your wrench on the double nut, and another wrench on the front nut and start to tighten down. The wrench in the rear. You can leave it rest on the body when tightening. You don't have to hold it. The front nut. You may have to do what is called double wrenching. That's where you take one wrench and place the box end into the open end of the wrench the is on the nut. What you are doing is making the wrench longer for more torque.

Ok, So I think Im doing pretty much what youve described with a couple differences, but same concept:

I have a 6" 1/2" bolt going from front to back, followed by a couple washers, then a 4"x4" (or maybe 3.5 x 3.5) galvanized plate. Then bushing frame. On the other side of the frame is the bushing itself, then the metal plate from one of the front bushings, 3 washers and a nut.

I have a passthrough ratchet wrench holding the nut (and letting it rest on the car frame as Im tightening the bolt), and enough space underneath with the QJ so I can use an 18" breaker bar. But the torque im pulling on the bolt when Im tightening must be 50-60 ft/lbs, if not more. Pretty exhausting.
