This is a nice pair here,,,cushion grips & used the smaller one to remove a seal from trackhoe roller & the beefy heel allowed me to pull a nail from a 14ply 11R22.5 that was buried :ugh2:

Once you get used to the OT. It's hard going back to a 40hr pay check.

When I worked for Elliott. It was feast or famine. 12hr day, 7 days a week or laid off. You would work about 5 months of 12's. Then go back to 40. Felt like you was getting a pay cut. :icon14: Seen guys crying for OT, because they couldn't make ends meet on 40 hrs. They got used to the OT, and counted on it being there. Go from $1,800 plus a week to $1,200 a week.

Not mechanics tools, home building tools... roofing guns, framing guns, ect...

I know most older use air & I have a buddy who’s got a stand up tar paper gun.

They paid you big bucks up there; Master Certified here & only knocking down 30/hr...so the 30-40 hrs OT has really boosted things :ugh2:

A new 80 gal air compressor. My 60 gal can't keep up with some of my air tools. :mad:

A water cooled TIG/Stick welder. Have some projects in mind that I need a TIG welder for.

Also a plasma cutter. So that I can cut both stainless and aluminum. I would need the 80 gal air compressor for this to happen.

Need to sell some of my work tools too.

3. My private O vibrator
4. Adam and Eve tall boy
5. 8 inch All American whopper.
6. My all time favorite T-bone rear end extractor

And many more I plan to do a garage sale.

I did this same deal.. I worked for a union in Detroit... Full blast 7x12s and then unemployment for a few weeks. Then another job and do it all over again... I was single, so I liked it. More time to ride motorcycles and go deer hunting (2 legged)

Always wanted a cruising bike; but the way these people drive here are insane :driving::icon14::icon14:

When I left Elliott. I was making $30.00hr in 2002. When I left Dynegy. I was making over $45 hr plus all the OT I could handle. My base pay was just short of $100,00. With OT, I was making $140,000 to $160,000 a yr. Toss in yearly bonus. Had a couple of guys getting 1,400hrs a yr in OT. :eek: Those idiots were making $200,000 plus. But they had a lot of health and marriage issues too because of the hrs. :rofl2:

Yep/ there’s a local Michelin Tire plant here...that’s called “Get Divorced Place”
They range 35-45+OT & a rotating shift of 12’s....24/7 operation :icon14:

At Dyengy. 200 hrs of vacation time, 520 hrs of sick time. That was both sick and short term combined. Uniforms. 401K, dollar for dollar up to 6%. Plus a Cash Balance plan. Which was based on how much you made for the month, years of service, plus your age. When you first start out. you would get about $200 a month put into the plan. When I left. I was getting around $2,000 a month.

Seemed like with Elliott. I would get laid off in late July or August. And get called back the day after Labor Day. So that they didn't have to pay us for the holiday. :shakes head: Come back and work 7/12's for a couple of months.

Good Sunday Morning All. Daylight Savings is here. That means that Spring and Summer is not to far away. Thank goodness. Anyway hope you all have a good one today. :tup:

My brother almost got me in trouble yesterday. We took him out for lunch. Our waitress was pretty hot. After lunch the gf went window shopping and I was asking my brother if he saw how hot the waitress was. The gf comes back and brother told her, hey my brother wants you to get the waitresses number for me so we could share.:shakes head: I farted on his arm later in the day by accident

Must've been the same alcoholic in my old unit. We were deployed to the middle east, no alcohol to be found. This dude hordes all the odoules near beer he could muster and would try to get drunk off the little alcohol content they had... and mouthwash as well..

Meanwhile, my squad leaders wife was shipping us the little duty free alcohol that came 8n little bottles. The LT was perplexed seeing all these empty little alcohol bottles outside our squad tent every morning... must've been some non practicing muslims in our AO LT! He knew what was going on but just let it slide.
