Do you guys know if there are any differences between the 2016 and 2017 version. The shifter definitely feels different but I'm not sure if the last owner changed the shifter. Also it seems super quiet compared to my old one even when it was stock (this one has 4k miles compared to 26k). Now I cant wait to put on this fast intentions carbon fiber exhaust sitting in my basement.

welcome back!

I might have a version 2 laying around if you want it cheap. I’ll have to double check if I have all the pieces though.

Depends how cheap :happydance:

The newer ones apparently are more adjustable so I might try the clutch spring mod while saving up for a new pedal

Yeah, my insurance has taken possession of it already lol. It was at McGann and Chester if you want to go look for it, grab my Ark exhaust while you're at it too

I agree the stock clutch is trash, and especially terrible with the stop and go traffic/hills in Pittsburgh.

ugh that location blowssssssss to get to right on saw mill or whatever that road is lol

based on where i live/drive i would hate a stick since i do summer daily the Z. i take a good bit of backroads which are all hills.

plus the 7AT shifts hard and responsive. it was leaps and bounds better than any other non-dct AT i 've driven so i went that way.

Yeah the smarter decision, considering where we live, would've been to get an automatic

Too bad I'm not smart :icon14:

$140 + a couple bucks for shipping. Its OK but I wont lie, the new version is a whole lot nicer and a lot easier to install.

depending on how much you drive it could change that thought though.

there's times i wouldnt mind having a manual to play with but i still shift every shift on both cars.

madwi 05-02-2019 09:42 AM

I wasnt planning on going that way anytime soon but if the Z is up and running good, I might just want to take a cruise that way.

Stage 2 or Stage 3 clutch? Not worried about pedal pressure. Purposeful track build.

Joe recommended the Stage 2 at my power level. I was leaning towards the Stage 3.

I'm running a stage 3 while still NA for now, and it's fine. Are you planning to use the CMAK? I've heard the HD CSC requires a little more pressure to operate. It's definitely more rigid than the stock clutch, but personally I prefer it.

Yes. I have the Z1 kit now. Will be switching over to the CMAK v2 kit.

I used to daily my 2012, even in the winter.:eek:

I still had to deal with the morons and their busted-*** cars that thought, 'I can drive real stupid, fly by that Z, change lanes and stomp the brakes because I almost passed my exit. He'll stop, he has a nice car." :shakes head::shakes head: What I really wanted to do was shoot the idiots... :gtfo2:

With the 2015, it stays parked unless it's a really nice day. Even then, I still have to deal with the morons.... :owned:

Where can I get a permit to perform a cleansing of the gene pool? :roflpuke2::roflpuke2:

I think that is a good choice to be honest. The new version just bolts right in, hook up the fork and switches, done.

Actually, in Texas you have more liability and responsibility if you have a carry permit. You can plead ignorance if you don't have one ;)
