Morning all! Fun reading about the cars you guys drove. I started too long after that era. My first was a geo storm gsi - no bragging points there, but I learned to drive stick on that car, and got it for 200 bucks, so it was worth the cost.

My 3rd car was an 85 300zx which started my fascination with Z cars.

None of mine were all that fun until I graduated college.

- ‘86 Honda Accord. Had never driven a stick before and I drove it home from the guy’s house where I bought it. No paint on the hood. Only kept it for 4-5 months and sold it for what I paid for it.

- ‘91 Chevy S-10 extended cab 5-speed. Loved that truck, drove the remainder of HS and all through college. Got into a bunch of outdoor adventures with that one and it ha da kick-*** sound system. Sold it with 210k on the odometer.

- ‘96 Lexus SC300. Talk about a Hwy cruiser. First auto I ever owned. Only kept it a little more than a year as the A/C fan switch started giving me issues and I didn’t want to find out what maintaining a vehicle when it was new was the top of the line Lexus.

- ‘03 Lexus IS300 5-spd. By far my favorite car. It could of used more power but it handled better than any other car I’ve ever driven and the fun factor was off the scale. Sold it to a buddy and we decided to gut it and make it a track car, so technically still own it.

- ‘10 G37S 6 MT. Y’all know enough about that car and if not, lock the link in my signature.

- ‘14 Chevy Silverado I bought as a commuter when driving the G every day wasn’t really practical.

**** in almost 25 years of driving I’ve only had 6 cars. Guess I keep mine awhile.

Also remember pumping the leaded 93octane Amoco fuel....that was practically clear & costed 0.99 per gallon :tup:
First mods were tach on steering column & chrome Moroso air cleaner.
:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

My first car was a hand me down. My moms '70 Duster with a 340 auto. High back bucket seats with console in between. Put a 4" Sun tach on the column. :tup:

Or if had money, you would get some air shocks to pump it up

Just about every car I had back then had air shocks. :rofl2:

My brother is 11 years older then me. So I drove some of his cars. He had a '66 Cuda 273 HiPo with a 4 speed. A '68 Hemi Road Runner with a 4 speed. I took my driving test in the car. :driving: And a '70 Super Bee with a 440 6 Pack auto.
