BTW: Harrah's has another Casino with around 300 rooms in Murphy NC... it's about a 50 to 60 mile drive from Fontana Village Resort. I think it's their Valley River Casino.

there's a camp site next to my cabin.

we were just discussing to maybe get it so no one shows up this year and cramps the style.

We could meet up and get a convoy going! Frank could be in front so his gtr gets lasered first.

I'm actually not sure if I'll be there this year or not. Wife is coming up with all kinds of travel plans during that time frame. But if we end up going, I'm very much up for a travel convoy. For Frank though, that's about 4.5 hours out of his way to meet us. What route is google maps showing for you? Take you through Philly or western PA?

No clue. I'll have to go check again. I just glanced at the hours taken to arrive. Frank is fast, he could catch up to us.

Last year's rain on the way down was crazy.

Spooler 01-17-2019 01:51 PM

just awful. it rained 99% of my drive down. i had literally 4 min of reprieve in WV.

then about 430am in VA, pouring rain, black of night, i smacked a coon in a car i bought 2 days prior. it was not my favorite drive in history lol

I started hydroplaning right outside Roanoke, only time in history that traction control has been useful.

yea in the Z with the RE-11's i actually turn that all back on lol

i dont trust those in water. hence my touch of reluctance to throw R888R or Cup 2's on the GTR for the trip. think its been 2-3 years in a row of rain lol

Leingod 01-17-2019 02:29 PM

Firehawk 500s for me cause I'm cheap. They still suck in the rain. Hahahhaa

JLarson 01-17-2019 02:45 PM

Running Michelin Pilot 4S now, no issues with rain. Good tire so far.

Rusty 01-17-2019 02:50 PM

It rained both ways last year. :( And always get stuck in a traffic jam before the WV line coming home. 3 years in a row. :shakes head:

Won't lie. Playing beat Saber in VR is phenomenal exercise. I am dripping right now. Brings back my glory days of dance dance revolution.

I have some tracking issues as well still. I've had to position the camera about 9ft high on a tripod and angle it down towards my feet to properly register all of the tracking points. The sabers still trail off from time to time, but i can at least play expert songs now without constantly failing from unregistered hits.

That gives me an idea. I have a portable projector. We could play VR games at ZdayZ!

my buddy has a projector in his basement and thats how he has it where the sensor is above the screen. the room isnt extremely deep so it looking down like that. but it's like a 180"+ screen i think so it works lol

Nah. 11 hrs to MI was rough. 14 hours for only 2 days would be brutal. Not like my car is anything special anyways.

Leingod 01-17-2019 04:03 PM

So Susan booked a campsite for arrival on Thursday. I need to figure out flights or long distance driving to see if I should get the extra day pass for Thursday instead of just Friday/Saturday. Madwi is just doing Fri and Sat.
