Koni's with the Swift springs would be better.

$500 for a set of coilovers does not sound like a good option to me. I'd be afraid of their quality. Some Koni yellows and Swift springs are a much better option

Considering the risk of the Tein's being cheap and breaking on you, I don't think they will be in the long run.

Fair enough. Lol. I’ll just hold off til tax time or there about. Get the credit cards paid off. I was looking at the Stance coilovers on Z1 as well. They’re about $1300 a set?

What is your purpose for wanting coilovers? Are you just looking to lower the car a bit for the aesthetics? Then just get some Swift springs - far cheaper than coilovers. Or are you looking for improved handling and ride quality? The Koni yellow struts are a good entry level option. Paired with Swift springs is a popular choice.

If you're not going to drive it hard, then you might consider something like BC coilovers or Stance or Tein. I just don't like the idea of putting something cheap in my suspension. You gotta pay to play.

Mostly aesthetics. I doubt I’ll ever track the car. I just mainly want the adjustability of coilovers. If I find it too low or high I can change it in a short time.

curious as too how good treadwear ratings actually are. GTR guys tell me that michelin PS cups 2's although rated at 180 last the same or less than R888R's rated at 100.

those are my choices i think for the spring. 285/325 combo...mmmmm meat :yum:

How often do you really think you'll change it? Cheaper sets are going to have less adjustability as well.

Honestly don’t know. Never had the option. Lol

I was considering the H&R springs as well. I wanted to do an aggressive drop, those were the most aggressive I could find from a reputable brand. I’m all over the place really. My brain goes through 100 different options at the same time until I’m just frustrated and confused.

And that's how you end up buying a product that you shouldn't have. Take your time and do your research. Save the money and spend it once the right way instead of wasting it on something you aren't happy with.

If this is your DD, the most aggressive drop is going to be a PIA... my swifts are perfect for DD. I still scrape on steep driveways or big speed bumps, so the drop that the Swifts give me is the most Ill go. BTW, my avatar is on stock springs

I wish there was some type of simulator that would let me experience every type of spring/strut combo and every coilover set. Lol
