July, that’s brutal. Gift cards is what drove the stopping of gifts. It just seemed like dad and I passed the same $100 back and forth each year. Finally told him, ‘Look, let’s stop this gift card thing and we can just spend the $100 on ourselves and save the effort.’

Morning folks! Yesterday was beyond hectic! Took my brother to a Podiatrist appointment, delivered some gifts to his favorite Therapists, picked up a CPAP for him, got my mom a small xmas tree - my brother used to do all her xmas decorations, but obviously he couldnt this year - then had to back track everywhere we went because the GF couldnt find her eye glasses....Didnt get back to california til almost midnight... and her eye glasses were hiding in her purse..lol

Thats funny. I gave my mom a card and 100 dollars cash this weekend. She peeked in the card. When I was leaving, she said "Why did you give me the money I gave you? " lol
I didnt have time to really shop, and I wont be able to make it to Arizona for Xmas so I had to get gifts like Pronto..Saturday I went to the local grocery store and bought a bunch of 100 dollar visa cards. The kid at the register was like "omg! this is the biggest bill Ive ever rang up!" lol

I will often buy extended family members a movie gift card. Some family members go to the movies all the time - they love the gift cards. Other family members very rarely go to the movies - but they love the gift cards as well because it gives them a reason to go to the movies :tup:

Nothing wrong with them. Gift cards are good in a pinch and really good for family you don’t know all that well. Takes the difficulty out of gift buying when you aren’t familiar enough with somebody to know what they’d like.

Been rewiring my desk setup for the eGPU coming tomorrow. Finished repasting the CPU and GPU on my laptop since Dell did a really bad job. Undervolted -100Mv as well. Temps have dropped a solid 10C. Grabbed some TB for lunch and now time to relax. Maybe clean the house a bit before the xmas eve party.

Question. Changing the diff lube. Is it normal to have just a magnet on the bottom?
