Heater went out first winter and they couldn't schedule someone for over a week. Neighbor recommended a guy who fixed it for me that night. Next summer A/C went out and it was days of hassle dealing with them and their service guys. Called up my neighbor's guy again - he had the part on his truck and fixed in an hour. YMMV.

Makes sense. I don’t ever buy warranties. I prefer to invest that money and just be prepared to foot the bill myself. I just suggested it since they didn’t have down payment.

3.75% is awesome. That’s what the rate was when we signed on the house. By the time they built it and we close, we had to close with 4.25%.

Our mortgage broker is a family friend. She said we'd never have to refinance when we bought at that rate. We've refinanced every five years since :icon17:

We were cash poor as well. So I decided to borrow at a low interest from the bank rather than the hassle of using the warranty company.

Over 800 rating for the latest rate. Nothing out of pocket for any of them - even managed to always roll any closing costs into the loan.

How the heck did you roll it into the mortgage loan? I'm not so sure we could make that happen now because the market is too hot. Point me in the right direction please lol.

On the original loan we made the seller pay closing fees. On the refi we just let the mortgage broker take care of it, so I'm not exactly sure. I'd be happy to provide you with her contact information.

That's been big news around here ( The Motor City ) her home town.
She's been gravely ill and in hospice for the last week or so.
She'll be missed very deeply, was very involved with music, with the inner city children.

It often auto switches incorrectly when I try to manually change inputs. It's so frustrating I plan to add at least three more HDMI cables in the wall to try as a workaround.

It's not that we overdo technology. The problem is everyone is so damn greedy and no one wants to do any development. Get your product to market as quick as possible so you get money as quick as possible. Who cares about the end user. And who cares about development since the next thing will be out before you can improve your existing garbage product.

Sounds like your tv & receiver need a divorce :bowrofl:

There must surely be an alleyway somewhere nearby that could comfortably house a cardboard box? It'll build character!

It's not a hack. It's just a parody website. And it's been around for a year and a half. Always good for a laugh
