Nice to see the forum back up. My obsessive checking was thwarted by yesterday's crash, resulting in a nasty nervous twitch ;)

I'm pretty sure the forum should compensate you for time lost! Or gained! Or whatever ended up happening!

Seriously, thank God it's Friday. This has been a grueling week. On the plus side... 8% raise now, and just informed I'll be formally promoted to Quality Director in about 5 months, with another increase at that point! Not bad for only having been in this industry 6 years!

I took a 27.5% raise this year after I found out my wife wanted a divorce. Basically took last year's bonus and added it to last year's salary. I won't take much of a bonus this year, but the month to month increase makes keeping the house much more comfortable, financially speaking

I took today off. Getting emails through the roof and not responding to any of them. I'm now sick. Sore throat and achy. Must have ran myself into the ground.

Sort of what I'm thinking. Though I would probably buy another Z to do that - there have been some good pickings lately. The one I have is staying N/A for sure.

You did. Your body is telling you enough already.

JARblue 04-27-2018 10:45 AM

At the very least I'm going to do some real upgrades finally. SPL upgrades, Wavetrac diff, coilovers, solid mounts and bushings throughout, racing seat, etc...

Oil for the Fit was suppose to be here this weekend but is scheduled to arrive Weds. Might have to pick some up locally.

JARblue 04-27-2018 10:48 AM

Wally World usually has 5qts of 0W-20 Mobil One for ~$25 :twocents:

That's my go to for local oil. And the only reason you'll ever find me inside a Walmart.

Thanks man! I'm really excited. It's been a roller coaster ride. Going from my job being totally wiped out, changing careers, and jumping up so quickly. 6 years ago, I could literally not afford to eat.

There is an autozone or whatever about .5 miles from the house. I pay a couple bucks more but I dont have to go into wallmart. Money well spent in my book. :icon17:

Some of the Braum Elite seats look really slick, are fat a$$ friendly, and extremely reasonably priced

So I'll probably wind up with a single driver side Bride seat that costs more than both of the Braum seats :icon17:

Keep marching forward and never give up. I've been there myself in the not so distant past. Complete career change out of necessity is a big scary deal lol.

I was actually wondering if I could fit my *** in a Bride seat. I dont have anything local to me, that I know of to test them out.

The nearest auto parts store is not significantly closer to my house than the Walmart. But I can't argue with your logic :)

The Walmart I use has a secret entrance in the back corner where the auto shop is. It's right next to all the auto products and there is a register there as well for quick in an out. Occasionally I'll have to track down someone to ring me up.

I've been looking for a shop with some displays I could check out. I think I'm going to have to reach out to some fellow Z owners and meet up with them to test out a few.
