Ahh there is something special about that first tepid cup of overstrength folgers coffee at work in the morning... the stuff brewed through so many grounds that it tastes like it has a paint stripper additive, but immediately sends a jolt of awareness through your entire body.

So I’m sitting here about lunchtime and a friend of mine text me and asks me to go out on the deck and drink a few beers in his honor... I said okay, but what’s the occassion? He replies that its his last day in the Service today and he was going to swing by about 2:00 and say Hi... I said okay. So I sat out there on my deck and drank a beer

The time was passing and as his stated time was past and my beer was out. I went inside and got me another beer and headed out again out to wait... and wait... and wait...

About half way into my third beer, here he comes in a C130 and buzzed me 3 times

Mr. Madwi, a slight change of plans... next wednesday, I'll be flying down to DC.. I found airline tickets for a round trip/same day flight out of lansing.. It will truly be a looong day.
