Try 2 goldens with a green carpet!:icon14: There was a gold haze on the carpet at all times. When it was time for a new carpet. We matched the carpet color to the dogs color. :rofl2: Dark golden. Now we are down to one golden. :( Now the carpet isn't as bad. :rofl2:

Kinda, I've been home for awhile just work so much that its hard to get time to spend time with family and do stuff for myself too. A normal day is 12 hrs plus 1hr of traffic coming home. Another reason i want to move back to CT. Daily driving the Z is getting old in san diego.

:iagree: Not much puts me in a worse mood than heavy traffic after a 12 hr shift.

I for instance drove a front end loader at my dads concrete plant. I still want to buy like a small bobcat to rip chit up in the yard for no reason just to mess around.

Pyroimaniac- been called that before lol. When we would go camping, I took care of the campfire, no one else. :icon17: To this day I usually have a campfire burnin' on the weekends.

Heh, when I was 12 I got my first "real" job at a landscaping company. They guys would let me drive the loaders around when the bossman/owner wasnt in the field.

Dad also would take me to work on the weekends when I was 9 or 10 and let me use the gigantic flamethrower for the conveyor belts.

My dad involved me in everything at an early age. Digging the garden by hand. Maintenance on the vehicles. Washing and waxing, oil changes, tune ups, etc. Gutting deer and small game. Hated cleaning out gut shots! :shakes head: Yard work, etc. At the age of 11. I was doing all of this myself.

I used to bitch about it when I was a kid but it sure has helped having at least a basic understanding of how things work.

Good for you Rusty. My old man never cared about what I do. I had to learn everything in the streets. If you know what I mean.
At age 16 already washing cars to have money.

:hello:

I'm up. Getting ready to go to work. :shakes head:

I wish there was a program that when you retire. You just didn't go cold turkey. Being used to working 12 hr days, then nothing. Really screws with your head. Some people need the structure of time management. I'm one of them. The program would ween you off of the working hours over a period of time. Say full time, to part time, then nothing. Over a 2 year time frame. This way you can get your mind adjusted. This is why I went back to work. :shakes head:
