How much do you tip your barber / haircutter?

He's the owner, all the staff are women ......... it's a "men's spa", they only serve men. They have car mags and playboy amd maxin on the table. Bar is open for free drinks when you come in for a cut. They serve stuff like Makers Mark bourbon. It's a cool place.

I couldn't imagine paying more than $10 for a haircut. I've been using clippers on my head since I was 16 because I hate the feel of hair, but damn, some of you are paying almost $40 for a haircut?

I remember the first time my wife (then-girlfriend) got her hair done. I told her I'd pay for it and gave her a $20 bill. She told me that would just about cover the tip...

Crazy!

(I just realized I commented on this thread back in December 09...I said the exact same thing!)
