I've never had an issue with a Samsung product, even their first generation DLPs back in the day. (worked at the DFW a/v distributor for the line at the time.) I currently own a 24" LCD for the PC and a 55" LED TV, both Samsung, both F-L-A-W-L-E-S-S. (:stirthepot:)
LG makes a good product, and their panels are perfect (they are also a panel mfg.). I've heard reviews from my A/V customers that the processing is lacking somewhat. We're talking about comparing $5k top-of-the-line TVs though. On a smaller scale I doubt it's noticeable at all. You say the monitor has a 2mil:1 dynamic contrast, but do you know the actual contrast, brightness, or latency? Contrast is nice, and with the technology going around gigantic dynamic numbers are all around, but brightness will also play a big factor. |

Also I think that the i7's from intel are sort of overkill on no need for them. I have been with amd for a long time now and still prefer them over intel. They are cheaper and they can be overclocked if wanted or need be. I also think that computer parts and peoples opinions on them are crazy. Meaning that there are millions of opinions but you should get what you want. My also recommendation is ati but a lot of people say that nvidia has faster ones. Me I know that but I choose to stick with a company that I trust. Not saying that nvidia is bad but I just prefer ati. |

~VoodooPC ~Falcon NW ~Maingear (more modern name) Basically they built computers and made them actually look good, instead of your generic beige case or crappy plastic POS. |
i like Falcon, but they are SOOOOO overpriced. Sabre makes good lappys if you wanna "build" them [online]

My Compy specs validated
http://valid.canardpc.com/cache/banner/914099.png Here's my computer validated by CPU-Z, I went ahead and overclocked the i7 920 (2.66GHz) up to 3.81GHz, as it shows. I'm currently testing the stability of the system, so we'll see in a few hours as I run my torture tests (prime95) The Intel X25-m SSD hasn't arrived yet, it will get here Jan4, Monday, so I went ahead and installed Windows 7 64bit on the WD Velociraptor 300GB drive until it does. I also went ahead and ordered 2 more storage drives. WD 7200RPM 1TB each, puts my total storage to 2,380GB, or 2.38 Terabytes. Woot. I remember in 98 I believe, being on Napster, and the total amount of music being shared by people was 2 TB. lol. |

If you really want a nice screen the apple 24" is nice and it comes with a camera and speakers but I don't know how well it will connect to a PC
the 30" is massive and ridiculousely expensive So if you have and extra 1500 dollars go get a apple monitor by the way yes I'm a huge mac person but. I wish OS X 10.6 could run games |
