Just read that Nissan is prototyping a Faraday Cage in a Juke for all bluetooth, wifi, cellular etc to be stopped while the vehicle is operating. This is supposed to help stop texting and driving.

Interesting.. My first thought is that it will still be dangerous since there couldn't be any windows... but some google searching suggests that shielded window film could be a thing.

I feel like almost no one would buy this thing though.

It looks to be a Faraday cage that is built into a compartment in the console. You put the phone inside, close the door and the signal is blocked. If you REALLY wanted to do something like this, it's relatively easy to build, just solder the walls to each other and ground to anything metal. :rolleyes:

May as well require a finger poke to test your blood when you push the start button
