7 pound pork shoulder is in the smoker with some apple pellets. Using a white ale rub. My first nighttime smoking. Going a little lower in temp this time since it will be in for 9 hours instead of 8. It will give the shoulder more time to hit 200F and stay around their so I can shred it easier in the morning.
Then it'll be a rack of ribs and a london broil with hickory pellets Tuesday morning for a family bbq. Ribs will have a smokehouse maple rub on it and the steak is getting garlic salt to help it break down easier. Slater some hickory and maple bbq sauce on the ribs and off to the races we go! I'll upload pics when everything is finished. I know EW will be excited ;) |

I was planning to go into the office tomorrow, which would make it like a normal Tuesday. But I think I'm going to go fishing in the morning and then the office for a bit in the afternoon, so it will be like a normal weekend :icon17:

I'm sitting in my office currently debating what to do. Not much happening here today and all my vendors I need to talk with are shut down.

Do you do a 3-2-1 method for the ribs? I still struggle to get my "fall off the bone" feel for the ribs. |

On a different note......:icon14:
I normally rent cars from National when I travel. It's usually pretty painless and I get decent cars. The 25th of June I flew to LAX, picked up a Camaro from the Executive line, prepaid a tank of gas, drove to Long Beach, then to San Bernardino to install a couple of systems. I returned the car the 27th of June to the LAX location, caught a flight to KC, arriving home about 2 am on the 28th. :ugh2: Here's where it gets fun. National contacts me on Thursday, wanting to know where their car is at. I told them I dropped it at the LAX location about 2pm on the 27th. I didn't get a receipt from the porter (my goof), I told him to email it. Now the barrage of phone calls & emails start.... :shakes head: I've called the LAX office multiple times, talked to the main office several times, responded to their emails and today, I get an email threatening to arrest me for possession of stolen property, because according to them, I haven't responded.:eek::eek: :shakes head::shakes head: During one of the calls to the LAX office on Friday, I was assured that everything was okay, and I'd have an emailed invoice on Monday (today). Well, no invoice. Back to on the phone at about 11 am CDT, telling them they need to go check their lot for a black 2017 Camaro... (holy crap, there can't be that many of them). It is now about 2 pm CDT, I called again to check the status of their search. I was told that it would be resolved by COB today. Right. :ugh2: I was going to ask for them to take off the prepaid tank of gas, now I'm going to ask them to remove the rental charge completely, and provide me with at least 2 or 3 free rentals. Asshats. :shakes head::shakes head: |

I get to work on the holiday. I decided to use the extra cash from the holiday to either get a new exhaust or coilovers. Kinda tired of the aam 2.5" exhaust. |
