Transcend is ok, I'd use it.
I use one SSD for OS and a couple apps and one SSD for some of the games that are huge and have long load times. Everything else just goes to some network attached storage drives.

yah, da only real big files for me are audio files and some video so I don't need the huge tera byte stuff u guys use.
I have a couple of terabyte backup drives my wife got me laying around.. this is for family video clips mostly.

I should seriously consider swapping my 500GB HDD to a smaller SSD on my old MBP I use for my DAW's playback virtual piano. it has 2 internal drives as I swapped the optical drive with a HD a while back. I hear SSD is reliable if dere is no frequent saving involved. I want to put my virtual instruments in dere for playback only.

Ive been rocking the RAV4 Until I find a car I like. I am checking out a Fit tonight. Co-worker is going to let me drive it around for a while and find some snowy streets ect.

The Z is comfortable in the garage, although I tried to go get some pics for LittleJuanito and there is so much snow and ice I cant get in
Suppose to warm up a bit so hopefully I will dig out the door this weekend.

hey I checked out my Z the other day, uncovered her to check for mouse (yah da one faking mouse) and turned the wheels by hand. even on the flat stoppers 3 of the tires were stuck to the flat stopper. I turn it every 2 months. has 40+psi in da tires.

You probably dont want to use one to store a large database that you use everyday, all day. Other than that, they still last a very long time and odds are you will buy a new computer before the SSD gives up the ghost.

2hrs+ on my new MBP straight lost 12% juice.

so conservatively, every 2hrs I lose 12% den should be 2hrs x 8 = 16hrs minimum per charge. not bad.

cool. should see the stash of SSD's my wife has in her workshop for her clients. they shitttout so frequently. yah, definitely will not be saving big files on the SSD besides the one time to load the virtual instruments with its big audio samples. will keep the OS stuff on HDD.
