I wanted that table saw if you were about 3000 miles closer :icon17:

It is small and needs work. I inherited it from my grandfather about 8 years ago when they moved into a retirement home. I never got it working, although I never spent much time on it other than buying a new blade. I've used it as a saw horse a few times :icon17:

I should have gotten rid of it years ago.

My current saw is used as workbench space. :icon17: I need a pole barn now, 100'x100'.

Btw, thank you again for the powerline adapters, Mr. Scott :tiphat:

I just purchased some TP-Link AV1000 powerline adapters to replace those slower ones. Rather than spend $80+ on 2000 or even $60 on the 1200 speeds, I opted for the 1000Mpbs version that I caught on sale for $35 via Prime. I figured I'd test them out and could always upgrade down the road.

I doubt you would notice a difference between them. 1000Mbps is going to be fine for whatever you can toss at it in home enviroment.

We should probably note somewhere that these numbers are theoretical limits that the units should be capable of, not consistent throughput.

Exactly my thoughts. Why spend more than double the money when I'm already good on bandwidth. My plan is to plug a wireless router into it downstairs. The extra bandwidth of the 1000Mbps powerline adapter should easily accommodate the extra wireless devices and the additional route downstairs will provide much better signal strength and speeds.

Mine run through the circuit panel, so there's definitely some loss of speed there. But the runs from the circuit panel on either side are very short, so I get pretty decent speeds considering. I would expect at least 6-700Mbps with the new adapters based on my previous testing with yours.

I remuxed Tropic Thunder blu-ray to mkv file. Its a 23 GB video file lol .. it will be the first test on the new adapters :)

Mine is setup the same way. one hop through the panel and about 4 feet to the outlet. From there it routes to the 16 port switch.

On an unrelated note, I am thinking about buying this case when I get home.

You sure it doesn't want your coils installed first? :icon17:

madwi 01-31-2017 01:13 AM

I have no idea what this thing does, but it has a lot of buttons and sliders I want to play with.

Meh, I pretend I dont have a Z while it is in storage.
This spring I'll take it somewhere to have the swifts installed. EW's ride is in the garage next to my Z and I like the drop from the swifts, a little motivation to get it done.

If I buy this PC case it will be mounted in the game room, other wise I am just going to shove the existing PC into the storage/electrical room. Laziness might win out. :icon17:
During the winter I refuse to work outside in the garage so I need something to do with my time.

I would gladly offer it's power. Unfortunately, ISP speeds will probably be the limiting factor there :(

I hope so. If not, I have been meaning to build a mini-gaming rig for the office that I can hide in my drawer or bolt it to underside of my desk

Received my Ecutek cable :D

First, USPS said it went from Germany to Chicago less than 12 hours after carrier received it :icon14:

Then no updates from Jan 20 (says departed transfer facility in Chicago) until after delivery yesterday like five different updates show up on the tracking info :shakes head:
