Grandpa is 99 and grandma is 95. Grandpa is sharp as a tack but still says to take him out back and shoot him, "I've done my fair share of time, shoot me" :rofl2:

We all share the burden of their costs. He has been retired 39 years and just ran out of cash. We don't tell him that though :icon17: He knows it was going down and he was bitchin' about he didnt think they would live this long or he would have saved more.

My grandpa just turned 90 this year and is looking at buying a new car. No long distance driving, but he gets around Houston just fine. And I'm being completely honest here: I'd rather ride with him than several members of my family.

JARblue 12-28-2016 07:30 AM

Happy :leghump: Day EVERYONE!! that includes you Mr. Onz!

Leingod 12-28-2016 07:36 AM

Bless you guys. Both of my grandfathers passed away years ago. Just have miserable women left now.

Thats great! Mine were a menace on the roads lol. Grandpa has cataracts and couldnt legally drive, but g'ma did not know where anything was. It was like a rally car driver/copilot. Grandpa would scream out which way to go and obstacles, like other cars and g'ma would just turn the wheel. It was frightening and they put up a good fight when we tried to get them off the road :shakes head: Thank the heavens they never had an accident!

My grandma has pretty bad dementia and yells out "Stranger!" when I try to wheel her down to Grandpa for dinner :icon17:

JARblue 12-28-2016 08:18 AM

Grandma went down hill with full blown Alzheimer's fairly quickly a number of years ago.

:icon17: and your Mother drives a Dually :driving:

Outstanding Sir

Leingod 12-28-2016 08:44 AM

HR just brought me a resume for the "intern" position here. Dude was stupidly over qualified and was making $61/hr at his previous job as Senior I.T. Manager before being laid off. I gagged on my coffee reading his resume list.

HR wants to hire him part time as an intern solely because they feel he could help me expand my knowledge. I look at it as a way to fire me and hire him since I am clueless and he would have everything perfected.

eastwest2300 12-28-2016 08:44 AM

We ordered a router direct from Cisco. Our transition plan is for the 2nd of January. I got tracking info and sent it to my boss in Portugal. He now wants me to drive directly to El Paso, Texas to intercept the package and bring it back since UPS won't deliver until the 4th.

yea... leave it to the Portuguese guy who's nation is tinier than Texas to want me to drive 1,500 miles to pick up a router......

Not the most scenic drive in the world, but on the other hand getting paid for windshield time ain't half bad! :p

motored my STI, had a blast. there was some salt in the shittty part of garbage town (I faking hate this town just north of us but had to drive through dere to get home since I got fuel).

anyway dusted off the salt using my dedicated winter cal duster, QD'ed its butt, and cleaned off the inside arches to rid salt and wheels. :p looks good again.

I only got meet and know my grandmother on my mom's side of the family. Her dad died from TB while in college in 1933. My dad was born in 1906 so...don't know much at all about my grandparents on his side other than them being slaves or just removed. I have been to Alabama were his family got their 40 acres and a mule. Pretty much nothing there but sand! Still was a cool experience going there.
