They are calling for a crappy winter here.

I need to find out who they are exactly and punish them for their lousy attitude! :icon17:

A lousy winter is one thing, it's seasonal, you expect and tolerate it to a degree... but after a lousy summer it's quite another. We have had rain darn near daily since July 1st :(

You shut your mouth :p

Davey 08-29-2016 08:08 PM

Last night on the way home, I'm driving on the highway and all the sudden I'm doing 75 mph on pea gravel dumped all over the road and some jackass in an SUV swerves from the left lane to the right on the brakes and that stuff was flying off his tires.

I had hoped for the best but I took a pin-head sized chip to the front edge of the hood, a large one on the passenger fender (not to the metal though) and a few on the front bumper and passenger side hood, and there are a couple of scratches and a tiny chip on the passenger a-pillar. Possibly some on the passenger mirror, too.

I already had some minor scratches and chipping on the front bumper as it pretty much goes with the territory if you drive your car around here (big bugs, etc.) and I figured I would have to get the car resprayed at some point but I was thinking that point would be a lot more than 4K miles. :shakes head:

If I was going to clear bra mine I'd do the entire hood. I hate seeing that line across 1/4 of the way up. Even with the better quality thinner/harder stuff it's still there. Always been a pet peeve of mine.

Davey 08-29-2016 08:25 PM

I'll probably just drive it a lot the rest of the summer and get even more chips and stuff and then I'll either get it fixed or get something else. :ugh2:

Davey 08-29-2016 08:28 PM

The front already needed resprayed and this would be a good opportunity to do the door handles and mirrors painted solid red though, so there is that excuse... :ugh:

Question when refilling coolant. My dad bought this gold stuff in a bottle you supposedly just poor directly into the rad and let the car run. I personally want to drain the coolant first, add new stuff and top off with that gold stuff. Think it's worth it? He has a very slow leak and this gold stuff will supposedly close the holes or whatever.

This is for an Acura MDX btw. Manual states to not do a complete flush. Just drain and refill.

Faygo grape was a staple when I was growing up. I am very, very picky about creme sodas, Faygo is close to the bottom of the pile.
