i daily mine, but it all depends on how much you drive... i replace my tires every 6-8 months because i do a lot of driving. which gets expensive fast as the tires aren't cheap :(

JARblue 08-25-2016 09:16 AM

Standard budget airline ... check the fine print on those ticket prices

Ryanair based in Ireland has 0.99 Euro fares all the time but there's like 50 Euro in taxes and fees. It's still inexpensive, just not quite as much as they might like you to think.

My wife hates that about the Z lol

For the life of me, I can't get more than 10K miles on a set of rears. That's pretty much every 6-7 months. But I only change out fronts every other set of rears - they usually last a year. So I typically spend around $2K per year on tires :driving:

I used to fly Frontier, but since they've become the "RyanAir" of the US, I stay far away. You would be better off flying Southwest. :twocents:

Depending on when you are traveling, Southwest fares are about $125 one way, and from STL to ATL $99.

I absolutely love Southwest. They have the best rewards program by far. My wife and I should get a companion pass for next year based solely on credit card spending. The companion pass is basically buy one ticket get one free for my wife. No restrictions other than seat availability.

I only flew southwest once. Wierded me out I'd never seen rush seating for an airplane before lol

They also had me 45 minutes late on a half hour flight from San Jose to LAX. could happen to anyone though.. and it got me stuck in LA for a weekend, which I didn't mind terribly much. Well except for the bit that the only hotel I could find on a Friday night was in Inglewood

It was on the return trip, STL to ATL, for $99, but the dates were for like the 10th of September. I would imagine that doesn't fit into your dates...:ugh2:

I fly SW about once a month on average. I think there are more flights in Texas, being the airline's home state. Rarely ever delayed and never cancelled.

Rush seating makes it sound like the first person to the plane gets the best seat lol. You get a number and board in order; the number is assigned based on when you check in or if you have status or pay extra for early automatic check-in. The earlier you are in the order, the more seating options you will have when you board. I like it much better than having to pay extra for a damn window seat on virtually every other airline now.

The company I work for primarily uses Southwest for travel. I do enough traveling to be A-list, and I'm a little over halfway to A-list Preferred. My trip to Orlando in October only cost me $13.50... :happydance:

Thankfully don't have to pay extra for a window seat here, but they are always adding extras wherever they can so I'm sure it'll come at some point. The only time I've paid for 'upgrades' like that are in charters wher you can get say an emergency row window seat with more legroom or only two seats in that row for like $20.

I usually fly WestJet here and as long as you check-in online within 24hrs of your flight you reserve an assigned seat for no charge. If you book in advance of the 24hr window they charge you a couple bucks for it. I like it better since I don't have to get to the airport early to get a better seat - though they've been steadily shrinking over the years so better is a term to be used rather loosely.

No preferred status here so I get to ride with the rest of the sardines at the will of the airlines lol

It's not a bad car, really, but it's not at all fun to drive or sporty like the old Civic Si.

It's like a tarted-up econobox with a 1,000 RPM powerband and handling not much better than any other econobox.

Davey 08-25-2016 11:46 AM

Reps came late today. Appt with orthopedic surgeon for my wife. He says he can fix her knee, which is good because I'm kinda attached to the old lady and I didn't really want to have to take her out behind the barn and shoot her. :shakes head:
