Got busy and didn't rep again yesterday, having too much fun with my wife. :icon17:

Now I'm up at 6 AM. :ugh: :shakes head:

Davey 08-21-2016 05:57 AM

Why am I up at 6 AM?

Wife doing Pilates again today.

The bad part is waking up at 6 AM, the good part is... Well I have not figured that part out yet. :icon17:

Yah, dis time of yr to winter my air pump is pretty busy.

I figure if I have to turn the air compressor on, I might as well wash the Z and blow all the water out of cracks and crevices and then air up all the vehicle tires if needed.

Pulling out the Z in 30. then wash and wire up nitrous pressure gauge. Remove the foam from hatch and run new main power cord. Looks like a good day to putz around the garage.

Yah I use my blower all da time after a wash. :D

In fact I think I'm going to change plans and wash my STI's brakes and wheels and take it for a spin instead. :D

If a man and a woman divorce in Arkansas do you still consider them brother and sister?

Sounds like a fun day. Come across the pond and clean mine too! :D

madwi 08-21-2016 07:45 AM

Motored the Z, spoiler addon is going no where. Took her up to err, uhhh, umm speeds which tested if it was going to stay on or not, passed with flying colors.

ChaseZ 08-21-2016 09:44 AM

Some underhood power with a usb for continuous GoPro charging, and a 12v LED flashlight just in case

After digging the CF add on (and seeing Madwi's), think I need a CF rear diffuser to match. Something really clean and simple, no huge fins or anything like that. Understated I guess you could call it. Haven't looked into them much so going to take a little research. Z1 has one I like but no way can I justify $1000 for a CF diffuser!

Fujimura is best anyways and actually understated in real life. On black, it would look great, I think.
You could try just plasti-dipping that area to see how you would like a simple look.

Fujimura for roughly $400. Best way to go

I considered wetsanding it without polishing to give it a matte look.

Will check into the fujimura. That's the one you have I take it?

ChaseZ 08-21-2016 10:03 AM

This is the one you guys are talking about, yes?

Anyone know if the Evo-R is the same, or very similar to the Fujimura? I can find it for $350 but the Fuji cheapest I've come across so far is $595 which is more than I want to spend. Where you guys getting the Fuji for 4 bills??

http://www.thezstore.com/store/graph...arge501883.jpg

Looks pretty darn close to me. It may be just the picture quality but the Fuji looks a little better.

EVO-R seems hit or miss on quality, I personally didnt want to risk it. Fujimura on Japanparts.com I think it was $388 + ship.

Found it $393

BUT

Estimated shipping time 60-75 days!! Car will probably be parked for winter by then

Leingod 08-21-2016 10:58 AM

I'm starting to just hate the Gfs friends. They don't want to go to the botanical gardens or play mini golf at a cool place. They'd rather go to another freaking bar to drink at 1 in the afternoon.

Yea. That's normal, but so worth it. I'd skip evo-r. If you're hell bent on going that route, but through the z store only. NEVER buy directly through Evo-r. The guy is a known scam artist.

I'm certainly not hell bent on supporting a scammer, even indirectly.

Looks like I might have to save this one for winter project status. Which is ok too. I can try that wetsand trick, or even a dark charcoal paint in the meantime if I get really horny to make some changes.
