Yeah, I'm considering going to one car for the time being. The initial thought for selling was that the Z is still worth something right now and if I get rid of it it'll be a nice addition to our savings to use for a new house we're thinking about in the next 18-24months. It's not like I HAVE to sell it for financial reasons, it was my responsible side trying to tell me it's a nice chunk of change to have/invest versus just continuing to depreciate in my garage since I don't have as much time to drive it.
BUT then I drive it and I'm like holy hell, how am I going to get by with just my TL, especially after a crappy week on the road at client sites. If I do sell the Z I realistically won't have another toy in the stable for another 2-3 years as well (again trying to be responsible). So now I'm just thinking, maybe my enjoyment/sanity is worth just keeping it. That was the whole reason for buying the Z in the first place.
I think if I were selling to switch to another toy, I wouldn't be as reluctant but selling and driving a family sedan only makes me think twice. Totally first world problems. |
