Because it uses more apple proprietary junk if you want to connect normal 3.5mm jacks and digital audio still isn't at the point to surpass analog. It's a cool idea for sure, but when used on a proprietary connection and with sub sound design, it's just not worth the change and price hike for "innovation".

there is no more innovation. what can you give the phone that it already doesn't have? not it's just making the camera better or a better processor. unless they make it paper thin or have a 3d hologram come out i won't be stoked lol

It's just that apple isn't trying anymore. Stereo speakers finally, ip67 water rating, and a still outrageous price tag. I got all those things back in 08. I'm not spending $160 on earpods. Just all gimmicky. At least MS phones and Android are still cheaper with the same junk in them.

not sure which android phone you are referring to, but if you look at the one competing with apple it's the galaxy. the galaxy is the same price as an iphone. the 160 wireless earbuds cost that much for any more well known brand. you can always go for the cheaper unknown brands.
