Pokémon Go
Such a cool concept imo. It gets kids outside, active and exploring places.
I dl it last night. Simple game. You just walk, run, bike around the neighborhood, town or city looking for Pokémon to catch. There are training gyms and special "pokeStops" where you can fight other players pets, train, or collect free items. Luckily for me, my hospital has a Pokestop and gym right night to it. Whoot for me! And Yes, I'm an adult professional and yes I play Pokémon. Yzgyz |

Hate all you want but I see families outside walking and catching pokemon; groups of kids riding bike catching Pokémon, joggers running 5am catching pokemon.
It's a lot cooler than angry birds or candy crush or whatever all those games are. The gyms and stops are city places like the library, historical sites ect. YzGyz |
I don't know what's worse, grown men playing pokemon or watching my little pony. |
Crazy.
Buddy showed me a video today of some Pokemon thing at a park somewhere. Must have been a few thousand people at least. All bumping and tripping each other because they were running staring at their phones falling down like dominos lol Heard Nintendo stock practically did a double though, so hey good on them. |
Nintendo gained $7.5 Billion in 3 days after it was released....for a free app with no ads yet lol.

I was at a business lunch the other day and one dip$hit was on his phone the entire lunch playing Pokemon ... at a very nice restaurant I might add. And to top that, some other dip$hit came over to our table and interrupted the conversation to ask about his color or some retarded $hit :shakes head:
There's a time and a place for playing on your phone. I would say 8 years old is the time but to each their own. Some people need to get a clue though because work or meal time is not the place. /rant ... sorry :icon17: |

LOLLLLLLLLLL!!! I don't understand the hate towards Pokemon Go. JAR, I understand your lunch frustration, but to everyone else... This app gets people off their asses and helps make communities. A lot of people are meeting random other people and having real conversations with people they didn't know a week ago. Might be dumb, but that's what makes America great. |

driver hits police car because he was playing pokomon go. :shakes head:
https://twitter.com/BaltimorePolice/...326080/video/1 How long before someone gets hit by a car? Whatever floats your boat but whenever I see grown *** men playing this kid's game http://i765.photobucket.com/albums/x...psgyxkhims.gif |

:iagree: that kinda $hit comes down to taking personal responsibility seriously while operating heavy machinery. There is potential to kill someone whether you are playing Pokemon Go or reaching down to change the radio station.
That is still one of my all time favorite kitty gifs though :icon17: |
I'm just concerned about the potential danger of it. (And pardon the low post count :) ) I almost hit someone pulling into a freaking parking spot this morning--they had both ear buds in and their head glued straight down to their phone. Had no idea I was even there, you know, in a supermarket parking lot.
I'm all for kids (or adults I guess) getting out and being active, just be aware of your surroundings. |

I blame William Gibson. Give Spook Country a read.

Agreed theirs a time and place for everything but while biking and lunch its a great game to spend the time, theirs nothing wrong with playing a phone game as long as perimeters are set and followed, the game came in with full force directed at anyone who played it prior to the Early 2000's and the kids who are coming up in the new millennium. Thats a large chunk of the world now and like DE said, Tech has gotten us into a lavish lifestyle of things being done for us, gets people lazy and it does require a game now to get people off their ***.
Niantic, The game maker have also had a game called "Ingess" out since 2012 with the same type of concept only not Pokemon related but more of a futuristic feel. Maybe some of you can enjoy that instead Team Mystic BTW |

This is a nostalgic reboot for many people that grew up in the 90s. I don't understand the hatred towards it. Everybody's put up with others' sports fanaticism, fantasy teams akin to Dungeons & Dragons, and Clash of Clans invites. Why not let the people enjoy what they want?

The other day I had the privilege of driving my sister around the neighborhood to catch her pokemons. Never thought I would enjoyed it as much I did, not really into the game, but it was a very rare occasion we were able to hang out together...seeing my little sis having a good time living out her childhood fantasy was more than worth it imo. I would gladly do it again if I could. I watched her grew up watching these cartoons everyday after school and now she's in her early twenty and still enjoying the characters brought back a lot of special memories for me. Don't hate the game, hate the players. Especially the retards that take it too serious stirring up trouble and giving other players a bad name :ugh2:

Yet another fun, Pokemon Go story ... I was just chatting with a family member who was visiting her deceased husband's grave in a very small private cemetery. Her visit was disrupted by a group of people who showed up at the cemetery to play this game. There were parents chatting loudly and kids running around the grave sites. Incredibly disrespectful :shakes head: |

Yes people are stupid and do stupid things like playing this game while driving or in the middle of a meeting. Like a few have said, there is a place and time for everything. Drive and playing the game = stupid. Playing the game in a meeting = stupid and inconsiderate. Crossing the street while staring at the phone and not looking both ways = stupid. You can't blame the game for these stupid people doing stupid things at the wrong time and place. You should blame the darn person for being rude, inconsiderate, unprofessional, a danger to self and others, ect, not the game. Hell, how many stories are there of people driving into fences, into ditches or off cliffs because the English voice told them to turn right in 100 ft. You don't blame the GPS do you? All I know is that I see TONS of people, adults, kids, family playing this game. They are out driving, walking, biking, ect. YzGyz |

Thanks. Personally I have walked 2x+ every day from before because of this dumb game, and now I have something to talk about with my cousin's kids who are closer in age to me that my cousins. Again, I don't understand the EXTREME hate for the game... Dumb asses will be dumb asses... We're blaming a game now?
