Peeps it's Sunday, the day before Monday and I do not have to go to work. I just thought I would throw that out there.

Same thing for cheaper. Dorco is a really good brand. Same with Meurker.

This is what I own. It is amazingly balanced and dead simple to navigate

I use Astra blades. i believe Madwi uses Feather blades. Can't go wrong with either. I do 1 shave, flip the blade for next time and then toss. I sitll haven't run out for over a year from a $10 box.

This is the brush I use. So freaking soft, the bristles don't fall out, and it mixes well with creams/oils.

Also, be sure to get a good shave oil and balm for afterwards. A safety razor gets about as close as possible without restructuring your face with blood.

And if you want to act like a real manly man, get a straight edge. Just don't go Sweeney on someone. I claim no responsibility if you cut your jugular.
This is what I own. Even i struggle at times with it and get some knicks of blood.

Thanks. I'm a blood thinner patient, so I'm not sure a straight blade would be a good idea.

Another great starter handle is the Dr. Harris although Muerker makes some pretty nice stuff too. As Leon noted, I prefer Feather blades as I find them to cut the best for me. usually you can find a deal where they send out a bunch of different brands to test out.

Even though they are a single blade, they last a lot longer than the multibladed units, by far. One Mach10 razor would last me maybe 4 shaves before being completely destroyed, these last me a good week and a half-two weeks of comfortable shaving.

Mitchell's wool fat shaving cream is my go to. Amazing stuff

I'm growing a beard out now as I have 30 days to do it. So far my wife loves it(hates it).:rofl2:

But I can have fun while I can.

Every time I shave mine, It goes through fazes. Batstasch, foo-man, soul patch, the hitler, mutton chops, and then finally fully shaven. Grow it while you can!!!!!!

When I lived in Wisconsin, I made the pumps for the oil sands. This was a small/medium sized pump.
