My wife just recieved a scam call saying we were overdue for taxes and they needed our info so we don't go to jail. Now they won't answer and we emailed the real IRS their number.

You really need to read the ARStechnica article about when they called them. Dude called his friend with a windows machine as he just had a mac. They had the guy on the phone for so long he was able to install vmware and get an image going and then ****** with the guy some more. :icon17:
