K, dumb question time. I used my jack on the differential yesterday (red circle). The proper jack point apparently even though it still scares me. I placed my stands on the inner part of the pinch rails where the little oval cutout is. My stands were sitting partially inside the oval cutout. (blue circle). I now see others putting the stands on the silver area right next to the rear tires. Springs I assume. (orange area). Should I be placing my stands on those instead of parallel to the pinch rails? The front, I plan to place my stands in the exact location as the photo.

It kind of depends what you are working on. The blue ovals are good for changing tires or working on brakes. The orange spots might be better for doing suspension work, more support to keep things from flopping around. As long as the car is stable, you should be good. Hope this helps.

This exactly what I've done for five years now

Ghost makes a good point about different types of work and using the rear spring buckets for suspension work.
