For some odd reason last night, I happened to browse over the steering wheel lock thread and thought to myself, my key indicator light has been on forever and this is after my car had been "fixed" under recall, and with me getting ready to make the drive down to zdayz, I figured I better fix the problem myself.. so I checked and removed the fuse.. AND, I ended up cutting the brown wire on the actual box.. I then pulled the ground on the battery for a good 5 minutes.. and hopefully this fixed any possible issues...

thoughts?

If it starts up and drives, good job. If no start up and drive, you got problems.

I think you are good to go.
Nothing a little solder and heatshrink tubing couldn't take care of if an issue arises.
