Im 90% sure My Z ate a small bird this morning. I was driving to the freeway and a small bird was in the road, I did not swerve, didn't see any feathers, and heard a clunk. I did not see the bird behind me either. So I may have a surprise waiting for me when I take a break to go look. :shakes head:

Morning y'all. Had a great time driving the twisties yesterday with a buddy in his WRX. Hoping I can clean the Z before I leave for ZDayZ early Friday morning, but it's supposed to rain every day this week.

Anyone have any ideas for adjusting exhaust tip length?

Did y'all loosen the mid pipes and the mid pipe hangers when you installed the axle backs? You might be able to adjust things to your liking before tightening everything down.

I don't believe so. I just removed the 4 bolts attaching the muffler, and the rubber hanger things. I had to add a full bolt to each of the screws for the rubber hangar to sit currently in terms of height. The left exhaust looks perfect. The right exhaust was rubbing the bumper and sticking out past it.

Try bending the exhaust hanger, it might lower it adjusting the angle down therefore pushing it out more. Just don't bend it too much to where it breaks the weld on the hanger.

If that doesn't work you might have to take it to an exhaust shop to remove and re-install the tip. ~ $50

If that's all it costs for a shop to do it, I'll just take it in. Less ahssle for me. Also, i used some of the lugs on Saturday when putting the wheels back on. Sooooo much easier to work with when things aren't tightened to hell and stripped.

Exactly......

Try running ccleaner. And kill all processes within task manager associated with Chrome.

checked all the process's that are running and in the background and there is nothing associated with google chrome.

don't know what it could be, might have to uninstall it and install it again

I am forced to use IE at work but use safari at home on the mac, and firefox on my Toshiba. I am not a fan of the google chrome.

Car goes in for an alignment tomorrow. Also going to have them look at the exhaust and see if adjustments can be made.

Random question. How far should one drive on new springs without an alignment? I know any type of mileage is bad without a new alignment, but how far would actually make a noticeable difference in tire wear?

I'm guessing it depends a lot of the severity of the misalignment and the compound of the tires.

If your getting the alignment tomorrow you will be fine as long as you don't do any burnouts. I drove on mine for a week to let everything settle in then i drop it 30 miles to the shop. No abnormal tire wear.

Driving safely is the key as everything is all out of whack.

I have some wicked painus right now from eating creamy brie cheese and crackers.
