If I can recall, don't quote me on this, like a grand for the system, and maybe 2-300 for install. That's if you get the bluetooth radar sensors and the defuser.

seems reasonable considering what all is involved...

There are a lot of variables
1. Which system
2. How many sensors
3. Custom Warning light install or not
4. Wired, or bluetooth
5. Laser Defuser or none.

Any pics of the V1 mounted in your Z's?

FuszNissan 11-15-2009 10:32 PM

I am sure you can do a search and find some. mine is mounted just below the rear view mirror.

I want to mount my radar somewhere where I won't have to remove it whenever my car's in a parking lot or something, and it's easily removed if I do get pulled over or need to throw it in the trunk or something.

I'd rather not have it below the mirror.

StLRedrider 11-15-2009 11:18 PM

technology is always advancing, so who's to say you spend a grand on this radar unit and 6 months from now they have a new radar gun that this unit won't pick-up. what then, can you up grade it or is it junk?

thanx :)

Me, alefcole and onethreefive -- we all discussed your issue(s) today and came to a conclusion that

a. You need to get a lawyer. I can look up yellow page if you want. Without a lawyer (with your current situation), you're going to take a big chance.

b. You need either a Passport Escort (my preference) or a Valentime 1 (alefcole's preference). Keep your budget less than $400.

c. Need to slow the F' down.

My detector was $450 new on E-bay. And you simply move it from car to car like a GPS nav unit. The Valentine 1 is a good detector, but it looks like it came from the 1980s, and if you live in any sort of urban area you will get false alarms repeatedly since it does NOT have GPS like mine. I believe that they are about the same price.

thanks for alll the help. i had one awhile ago and i swear it doesn't always work bc it would go off at random times like by a grocery store or like best buy from their doors and its such a pain.. ALSO someone told me once that it doesn't always work with the police radar things like they can turn it off so your dectector can't go off. i'll be getting one ASAP. thanx again guysss! :)
